Those who use it to push their ideas or impose them is just disgusting and makes people less likely to take the topic seriously.

Guys,
If I would assume that climate change is a big deal and is the fault of all the people, than wouldn't it already be to late to save the earth? I mean when I see all the shit on Instagram like: "O my god, the world is gone within 5 years!!!", then it's just pointless to spend money and effort to save the earth, am I right?

2019-12-27 16:45:32 UTC

btw, I don't think that its a big deal and it isn't caused by people (for the greatest part)

2019-12-27 16:51:57 UTC

Just focus on what the scientists say - and by extension, what the science says

2019-12-27 17:01:16 UTC

Which is?

2019-12-27 17:03:57 UTC

In 1975 (-/+) scientists claimed there was a ice-cold climate ahead of us

2019-12-27 17:04:12 UTC

Never true

2019-12-27 17:04:40 UTC

I don't see any signs that point to that either

1975 scientists when global warming was heavily debated vs current scientists where climate change (the now overall carbon emmissions effect on the world) are not the same scientists running off the same info

2019-12-27 18:12:13 UTC

GG @E2D2, you just advanced to level 8!

2019-12-27 18:12:41 UTC

They've adapted, grown, and developed their studies and have reached a point surrounding the enviornment

2019-12-27 18:17:35 UTC

What are they saying now then? When will the earth be gone?

2019-12-27 18:17:36 UTC

GG @luduma, you just advanced to level 1!

2019-12-27 18:23:08 UTC

@luduma you can look up UN enviornmental reports or Google up enviornmental reports and see them yourself

2019-12-27 18:48:28 UTC

You're talking about these reports? Well let me give you an example:
https://www.osce.org/eea/14851?download=true

Don't think it's true, do you?

2019-12-27 18:52:40 UTC

thats about environmental refugees, not about the state of the environment

2019-12-27 18:52:42 UTC

try again

2019-12-27 18:56:45 UTC

well, what's the reason for those refugees then, if it isn't "the state of the environment"?

2019-12-27 18:56:49 UTC
2019-12-27 18:57:43 UTC

and my point was that those reports aren't reliable

2019-12-27 18:57:48 UTC

thats an example

2019-12-27 18:57:59 UTC

so try again * uses uno reverse card *

2019-12-27 19:01:14 UTC

I said you can look up environmental reports on how scientist discuss the effects of carbon emissions on the environment and you pulled a completely different topic out of nowhere.

2019-12-27 19:01:37 UTC

Also, people become refugees for more than just the environment. I hope you know that

2019-12-27 19:01:43 UTC

youre just avoiding my point rn

2019-12-27 19:01:53 UTC

I am not

2019-12-27 19:02:04 UTC

How are they unreliable then since that is your claim

2019-12-27 19:02:22 UTC

have there been 50 million refugees because of climate yet?

2019-12-27 19:05:06 UTC

over the entire span of history or recently? I could say there could have been

2019-12-27 19:05:19 UTC

no since 2005

2019-12-27 19:05:46 UTC

between droughts, floods, and other changes to communities that make it hard for people to live there perhaps

2019-12-27 19:06:28 UTC

-_-

2019-12-27 19:06:29 UTC

GG @luduma, you just advanced to level 2!

2019-12-27 19:08:44 UTC

the climate has been changing since the world existed and will change until the world dies (not because of climate change 🙂)

2019-12-27 19:10:18 UTC

oh damn, who knew. So since even you know that the climate has been changing you recognize that it is trending towards more extreme weather that we have not seen before right? And that mankind has a hand in how the earth is changing as well right?

2019-12-27 19:11:06 UTC

like, no shit climate changes but since industrialization there have been increasing changes

Tell me, what is the first sentence?
`Climate change may not be responsible for the recent skyrocketing cost of natural disasters, but it is very likely that it will impact future catastrophes`
