Va hate is kind of strange. Each location is very different. Some are efficient, some are broken
@Sh0t Va hate?
The VA, Veteran's Affairs
Ah ok
I don't hate/dislike veterans, I think I was misunderstood
I hate veterans categorically.

Seems legit
Religious people will only exist in insane asylums one day
When you think about it, American laws have some Christianity in it
I think jews and Christians/catholics are the same in a way
Mmm no
I wouldn’t exactly say that
In America some of the founding fathers weren’t too keen on religion while others were
So id say that the culture of America has Christian values but the laws themselves are just based on libertarian principles
libertarism wasn't a thing. It was basic bitch enlightenment liberalism.
Whatever abstract term you’d like to define it as, either way they had something like it
Liberal used to mean something very different, so libertarian was invented to be the old definition
Religious arguments between the states was a big reason why we have a Federal system as opposed to one big monolith. mostly because nobody trusted Rhode Island
libertarian more narrowly applies to liberty
than liberal does
Which version of liberal? early 1800s liberal? or present day liberal
I WANT THAT 500 LIBERAL SHIT
in the US, the term was hijacked because it had great PR, a common situation across many movements
1880s America was more or less the definition of classical Liberal, but it all went down hill when the overseas wars started, korea, spanish american, wwi
beating up korea in 1870 was the prologue, spanish american war really got it moving, and WWI ended civilization, as people around at the time felt
the War Socialism during WWI in the US radically changed average person's relationship with the government
no WWI, no progressive era, which more or less buried classical liberalism as a political force, until rebranded as libertarianism in the 50s
