Well no it's not, it's a matter of just understanding geography and regions. There's different factors that go into distinguishing continents, I can say "I just think North and South America are the same" but that doesn't make what I said logical if I'm not considering what exactly a continent is.
They are the same continent and the distinctions are pretty much arbitrary
Some people also contest the distinction between Europe and Asia as well

Not really, continents are distinguished as being separated or very tenuously connected between other ones. Although I actually agree with that regarding Europe and Asia, since they're literally just part of the same landmass full on.
In fact I think Eurasia isn't used that uncommonly

right but that's just referring to the countries that predominantly speak Spanish and Portugease, this was in regards to a purely geographical region.
