The president's behavior has changed throughout history multiple times. Before modern times the president wouldn't hold speeches, they would write their policies in paper instead and then Teddy Roosevelt changed that. I have a feeling that Trump is changing the president's role into being a thug and a bully which is deeply concerning.
The conservatives are right when they say Trump hasn't truly done much "wrong" during his presidency. The true problem is that he *abuses* the power that he is allowed to use in order to maintain the publics approval.
Whether you think it is right or wrong to abuse political power is subjective.

@Festive Spaghetti Like?
In the impeachment context, abuse of power is generally defined as using the vast powers of the presidency for personal benefit.
He stonewalled the impeachment trials and orderded witnesses to ignore the court's subpoenas.
I don't care what the impeachment trial was about, if someone is trying to censor people from telling the truth, then they are probably guilty
You can read this if you want to read further into it
Executive privilege @Festive Spaghetti
AKA a monarchy
That's not monarchist.... It's executive privilege.
This cannot be abuse of power, it's legal.
Why on earth did you go to monarchy specifically?
Essay incoming
It's like you just threw out a random buzzword for a more authoritarian government with little knowledge on how the US government actually works and on what actually happened with his impeachment.
The ignorance on this subject is always just staggering to me.
Shouldn’t be staggering the more you encounter it, so that’s entirely on you.
Womp
I mean I'd argue it's *more* so if you keep encountering it even now, especially if it's with the same people you've explained this too before
Generally speaking, I haven't talked to Spaghetti about this before.
Regardless of to whom you talk, it should become more obvious how people think.
