i was thinking the same thing but I'm guessing this channel sees a ton of hate so...

2020-03-19 20:15:47 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I didn't even know you *could* mute someone for an entire year.

Would Chinese disease be considered a racist comment?

Racist or not it's not a good message to portray.

Great impression of Donald trump, you almost fooled me into thinking you were him.

Your profile picture looks like my ex

Who doesn't want to date putin though?

I'm a 'merican. I don't get infected by no Chinese disease.

How un-american. PFFT

That's why trump loves him.

He got the body of an angel.

My question was serious though. Do you think that calling COVID-19 Chinese disease is a racist comment?

I didn't ask if it was wrong or not I asked if it was racist or not.

It's not inherently "wrong" to say that but it isn't something I would support the president of the united states to say.

Trump like to give everything a dumb nickname though.

It's not anything abnormal

Yes the next virus that starts in America must be called the fat flu.

Coronavirus is also a nickname

Coronavirus also isn't a scientific name.

So should we call everything by it's scientific name?

I already agreed that it wasn't racist.

I said that I don't think its right.

Exactly. Is it really ok to do something just because someone else did the same thing? It doesn't make it any more wrong or right.

Didn't we already say that it isn't really *that* racist???

If chinese disease was coined by a comedian or an average person we wouldn't be having this conversation. The president of the United States is held to higher standards than someone who is trying to make a group of people laugh. Therefore if the President says Chinese disease it comes off badly unlike if a comedian says it.

Because he is our leader.

Accepting the fact that our president is willing to nickname something so serious and urgent is a testament to how low are standards have dropped.

Who cares whether or not it's racist, is it socially acceptable in an environment as important as the white house?

I'm just here to help.

@Renn You can keep going back to the spanish flu argument all you want but it isn't going to help your point

@Renn I have no idea what your trying to say as well because all you are saying is "it isn't racist" "It isn't wrong" and "democrats coined the name Spanish flu". I don't care what the democrats have said in the past and I know it isn't racist so if you would like to prove your point then elaborate on why it is you think what Trump said isn't wrong.

I'm still talking about it because no one has given me a complete answer

I want to hear your defense.

@Renn I know it isn't racist so if you would like to prove your point then elaborate on why it is you think what Trump said isn't wrong.

I lliteraly just said that

There's a difference between wrong and racist.

I know it's hard to believe but I'm actually taking in what you have to say and changing my opinion accordingly.

That's literaly what's happening right noww

I asked them to elaborate and give evidence to their points but they have said nothing.

Ignore the conversation above you

Don't be like us and get sucked into that lol

I'm not sure

If there is I need it

I just gave myself the role of the party that fits more of my beliefs

You could just not give youself any role

There really should be an unaffiliated role or something to that affect

@Citizen How are we going to live on to tell the story if we are all dead??

We wont be what?

What the hell is that conversation above me.

2020-03-23 14:25:28 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

What we need is a real leader that represents us, the American people, and not himself and his fellow mega corporations. We need someone who the people can look up to and trust whole-heatedly in troubled times like the present day.

2020-03-23 14:40:11 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Will unfettered capitalism do the trick?

2020-03-23 14:41:25 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Government regulation in moderation is a good thing. No one denies that. Socialism is an economic system that has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

2020-03-23 14:44:33 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

What I was talking about is we need a leader who doesn't immediately think of himself and the stock market when he hears that people are dying because of a virus that is spreading like wildfire in *his* country. That has nothing to do with socialism.

2020-03-23 15:16:42 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

The only critical thinkers that deny government regulation is a good thing are the people who have been manipulated by the massive cooperations that run the republican party

2020-03-23 15:17:54 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Also you are assuming that I am a socialist who believes that the free market does nothing right which is horribly untrue.

2020-03-23 15:20:35 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

The people you are referring to are the self-proclaimed critical thinkers who like to inject doubt into the peoples brains and cherry pick evidence so they and their fellow billionaires can get the votes they need to overthrow the american government.

2020-03-23 15:20:51 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Don't be shallow.

2020-03-23 15:20:55 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

See through the bull.

2020-03-23 15:23:19 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

@Yusa I'd like to to respond the the main point I was trying to convey earlier instead of crying socialist. I'm giving you the floor.

2020-03-23 15:25:50 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I don't think capitalism is the best option for what?

2020-03-23 15:31:17 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I don't think that real leaders are socialists if that's what you think. Yes I do believe that healthcare is a right that everyone should have and I don't think that a cooperation that wants nothing more than to make money and please investors should be in charge of keeping me alive. You see if the heathcare market was competitive enough to where capitalism could work it's magic like it does for most markets then I wouldn't have to say this but that simply isn't the case.

2020-03-23 15:35:03 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Are you telling me that the government is incentivizing companies to jack insulin prices hundreds of times higher than they should be?

2020-03-23 15:35:18 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

That's where capitalism doesn't work in our favor.

2020-03-23 15:35:26 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

We need regulation.

2020-03-23 15:37:20 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

The government doesn't decide wether or not there is competition in an market. The government wouldn't need to pull out funding if there was a company selling insulin for half the price of everyone else.

2020-03-23 15:40:18 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I never said free healthcare.

2020-03-23 15:40:23 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

When did i say that?

2020-03-23 15:40:40 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I said healtcare is a right but I never said that you should just be given insulin for free.

2020-03-23 15:41:54 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

The only point where you should just be given care for free is when you're literally dying.

2020-03-23 15:42:04 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I don't understand why you want to pay to live.

2020-03-23 15:42:13 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

ok good

2020-03-23 15:44:30 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

exactly.

2020-03-23 15:44:46 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

If you pay your dues you get rewarded for it.

2020-03-23 15:45:21 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

But what if you don't have health insurance or what if you get denied by them? With a government run systen there would be no questions asked.

2020-03-23 15:45:51 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

the 45,000 people who died this year because they couldn't afford medical help would have been able to survive.

2020-03-23 15:49:22 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Consumer regulation is slow and people would have to die from it and public outrage would have to insue before things changed.

2020-03-23 15:51:10 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

^

2020-03-23 15:54:04 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Thank you

2020-03-23 15:55:10 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

He doesn't understand that because he lives in the most partisan country there is

2020-03-23 15:55:20 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Neutral is not in our vocabulary

2020-03-23 15:56:50 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Is it really a bad thing if we are all forced into a system that works really well? Would you rather be forced into a money sucking system?

2020-03-23 15:57:52 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

At least they used to

2020-03-23 15:57:57 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

For a second

2020-03-23 15:58:02 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

You don't believe that?

2020-03-23 15:58:06 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

what???

2020-03-23 15:58:17 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Among many others

2020-03-23 15:58:34 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Like sticking up for the NRA and denying climate change.

2020-03-23 15:58:49 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

de regulating literally everything and letting big companies ruin our lives

2020-03-23 15:59:29 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I will say it right here I believe that the states should have more power and that's a republican policy I side with.
