China shouldn’t control a majority of the world’s manufacturing, yes, but you shouldn’t throw a literal fit over it. **Deals. Planning. Cunning moves.** that’s how you deal with countries. You strike deals, saying you’re going to be buying less of this item, meaning the price increases in your country, and you simply encourage the production of said product **in your own country**. And you keep lowering it slowly and slowly as your own production of the item increases. Eventually you can cancel the entire shipments from them, due to having the ability to produce it all by yourself. Or you can keep some small amount of deals going to keep buying the item from them, either or. This can be done for pretty much anything. It also gives the bonus of making metric tones of new jobs for you, increasing your industry and money flow, and allows you to be able to start selling your own to OTHERs.

A border security force is necessary, yes, but the way he handled it was horrible. We don’t need an army on the border, and a wall is just trying to buy a golden toilet. **you don’t need it, there are better options that are a whole lot cheaper and effective**. Yes, it “does open jobs”, but if you are obsessed with making jobs, read the argument above this. Anyhow even then the jobs would be limited to very few people and would require skill and training which may make some drop out. Also it costs a lot to keep them around, and you don’t really bust drug operations that much, so you lose money heavily. A good thing to do is simply do what they did before, maybe add a bit more cameras, probably add 15% more security to the boarder, maybe make new systems to allow people who lack true identification (like brith certificates, most countries which people migrate from wouldn’t really be giving those out) and allow them to still come here legally via a process I’m not qualified to design

The border wall is one of the tools that make up part of the border security system, it's extremely effective (already) saving lots of money and resources (cbp agents, cars, gear). I don't think there's any other effective solution as this, there's no substitute. The border wall system includes the construction of 18- to 30-foot tall steel bollard wall with optional anti-climb features, new & improved roads, lighting, enforcement cameras & other technology to create a complete enforcement zone.

It's what CBP has been calling for ages.

According to CBP the new roads for example are all weather, cars that used to break down at 40k-60k miles, now break down at over 100k for CBP; crossings have fallen in areas where walls have went up by 90+%.
