Okay? Religon is the biggest.
I just don’t see why that means I should not believe in a God.
This is religion and philosophy, not science and religion.
Vibe...
The lots of different definition of God than most people use
@Otto More like freedom to belive in sky wizzards and lessen the advancement of the people.
If God is all powerful and all good there would be no evil in the world
simple as
@fuck12moredeadcops So you agree to subjective morality then?
Yeah
@Deleted User Science and philosophy are very tightly knit.
I don’t believe in objective morality
Why not?
Of course not, it would be stupid to think morality is objective.
Everything in philosophy you're very tightly knit
Bro
Let me bring the partners in crime argument
Brb
@Deleted User Listen you are still experimenting with your intellectual powers but you need to relax and stop acting like your some overpowered Mega-mind individual that thinks everything you know is right and if anyone dare to argue against it must be refuted. Everything you are saying isn't true its expressed because that just what you believe in and i respect that. Don't argue with people and try to drown out the conversation by saying they are wrong.
@pennypal Philosophy paves the way more science, it's that simple.
King if you don't get out this channel I'm going to send an even stronger argument
Philosophy is the "why" and science is the "this is why".
I’ve yet to hear an argument for an objective morality which holds up to scrutiny. The most convincing objective moralities stem from a belief in theism, and I don’t think someone can empirically prove the existence of a God, they can only rationalize it’s existence, so it’s insufficient for asserting that all should follow that particular moral code. @Deleted User
GG @fuck12moredeadcops, you just advanced to level 7!
You heard an argument for subjective morality that holds up?
There is no objectiely "correct" thought.
There.
That’s the other option. @pennypal
And people certainly assert morality
Either it’s objective or subjective
It’s not neither
All ofour thoughts are from emotions, experiences, and relations.
@fuck12moredeadcops
1) If there are no moral facts, there are no epistemic facts
2) There are epistemic facts
3) Therefore, there are moral facts
If it's subjective it's not moral... Objective morality can be situational though
Why would it be impossible to have epistemic facts without moral facts?
It should be simple, right?
Good question and it's one which I can't explain in a paragraph. So either we have to vc tomorrow or I can give you a book to read.
