@Rendier are you going to post some peter howes articles on that domain?
Yeah, the beauty standards in Asian nations is interesting. Quite extreme in some cases.
@ZombieQueen is Alabama like a dukes of hazard movie
Sometimes
It really depends on the people you hang around lol.
I understand the reasoning behind the skin tone desire\classification in Asian cultures, I just can't understand why white people at least..American white people still think it's attractive to have grody looking tan, damaged skin.. Just..ew.. @BraaiBroodjie
I dont see how thats strange really, different ideals and values, from different regions and environments... Like you not gonna find a sun burnt oke in the poles either, so I dunno why it's strange to you Broodjie
white people have more diversity, skin tones, eye color and hair color
I can understand if a white person is naturally tanned..or is mixed with another race, but actively tanning, spray tans, to achieve the tan look...I just find it fucking disgusting these days.
I was in the UK recently, the north (yorkshire/manchester) - Saw a lot of fake tans.
I think if people just stick to being natural + healhy, they look good.
I actually think the tan derives from the Mediterranean
the greeks and romans, must be some desire to conect with the roots of the west or something lol
I'm one of the most pale white people on earth bahaha I have an moon-glow instead of a tan. Lol
Like in South-Africa you can call a person of colour a Coloured and he won't mind. But try that in America
yeah PC culture really has been brewing in the states for a while lol
Here in America it was a popular thing to have "sun-kissed" looking skin (people ALWAYS overdo the tan, unfortunately) and they wanted blonde hair, parted a certain way, and blue eyes. Was a common desire in my school anyway..
i remember long while back how americans freaked out about defining blacks as black, and coloureds as coloureds lol, was really strange that, i can agree with that
sounds like what the furher wanted
Indeed lol
lol
Comes down to subversion
We used to say African American, but some people are still offended by that because they consider themselves fully American
yeah, I'd agree. Why not fully american.
I guess it might be just to narrow their race down
I just consider people what they look like..Black, White, Brown..
See that makes sense, it's the same how i consider myself african, born and bred here too, fed by the food that was grown in this soil... i can relate to black americans regarding that. I am called european but I have no european passport and not even recognized by eurrope as european
i consider people as Nice or assholes
Black americans are so far removed from Africa... Makes no sense to call them African American
@Apollo What do u consider me ;)
yeah well colour pretty straight forward
i need a link to a torrent for free minecraft
@WuldGoGayForLauren don't ask questions you don't want the answer to
@spursfan82 It's not exactly to call them african, more just to refer to their race as black
@Apollo ;-;
@WuldGoGayForLauren ooohkay
african refers to a geographical location, black refers to a colour.
Well they use it to determine race I suppose xP
So if you go to the USA and you are white individual born in Africa what are you classified as?
Don't tell many black people that here..that they're so removed from Africa that they shouldn't Identify as African-America they'll cry or get angry. Some people are fine with the classification, some black people are not 😛 @spursfan82
it's an inaccurate way to determine race thouhj
