i think the attacker was no longer a threat once the gun was up because he clearly backed off. and with plenty of time for the guy on the ground to realize it. as the dude also was turning away at the time of firing.
the push was excessive, sent him a good distance. Pulling the gun for that was totally justified as it was clear the guy still advanced on him after sending him flying
however, there was enough time to recognized that the presence of a gun had immediately changed the dynamic., and that the man standing was clearly backing off for the moment.
i'm 50/50 on that. they were illegal parked and from some other comments it seems the longer version has him pointing it out and the lady getting angry and stepping out of the car.
for all we know, that man has had to use handicapped spots or knows someone who does, and i would understand getting upset with people who break that law
