the game is a reskin, not much investment was wasted into it
and let's be real here, Diablo 4 is almost certainly in the works but they didn't feel ready to announce it yet
not that I have high hopes for Diablo 4 or anything, but it'll spike their shares for sure
honestly I'm surprised Overwatch still was as positive as it was
I don't play games from the west anymore anyway
I play LoL from time to time, and indiegames
then the japanese market takes the whole cake after that
The indie market is only getting bigger due to AAA companies shilling nonstop.
no, I haven't
and yeah for me as well it's indies, and niche titles that aren't indies but are designed for a tighter audience. Witcher 3 would be the last AAA-level game I played and that one is in a weird position in that it's also *technically* an Indie. And even then I preferred Witcher 2 which was an "AA", if you will
of course Witcher is Polish as well. Technically a Western game but it's a pretty different tradition from your EAs and your Activisions. Dark Souls aside I like Eastern European games more than I do Japanese in general
and of course Dark Souls intentionally lifts a lot of inspiration from Western design and philosophy so...
I think the main issue is that the PC market has diverged too much, you've got the AAA crowd every major publisher is trying to pander to, which leads to bland, risk-free and formulaic games, you've got an "I play LoL/Fortnite/MMO of choice and nothing else", and you've got a market of more hardcore users looking for something else.
It's why Fallout 4 and Skyrim barely classify as RPGs any more while Fallout 1&2 and Morrowind are essential RPG classics, why Witcher 3 is so much more toned down in it's eccentricities than Witcher 2. Why Diablo 3 is so simplified and streamlined down from Diablo 2, and why I'm not at all optimistic about Diablo 4. Contrast Diablo 3 especially to it's Indie counterpart Path of Exile, which goes pants-on-head retarded with the depth available, sacrificing the more casual would-be AAAudience in favor of attracting a niche one
They apparently had something in the works but didn't debut the video for Diablo
Try acthally do the clapping it messes it up so much
Daddy
I just like the idea of NPCs literally getting mad at people killing NPCs in a video game.
Not a lot of KKK in 1899.
Still too many though.
Shiny Garydos used Hyperpartisan Beam!
It's SUPER effective.
