I try to avoid making judgments of people's intent. I wouldn't even claim to know someone's heart or mind or their motive, but I most definitely would not be surprised in the slightest if that were the case.

2018-03-24 13:22:07 UTC

and a majority does it because they see themselves as normal even though they were promised they were special
and since they're normal, one in a sea of typicals, they're nothing noteworthy

So they cling to an identity to define them because they have no definition of their own

2018-03-24 13:23:01 UTC

You can judge a persons intent on how they present their cause

2018-03-24 13:23:11 UTC

Yeah, from their words and their actions.

2018-03-24 13:23:54 UTC

A person who goes to help the poor and then goes to spout about how great they are for doing it, is only doing it for the publicity

A genuine good person would just help out, and at the end of it walk back home and do their own thing again, those are the true good people

2018-03-24 13:24:13 UTC

Hollywood people are a great example

2018-03-24 13:24:37 UTC

they do all these "fundraisers" and "benefit" things, and go out and promote causes
Whilst still sipping 300 dollar wine in their million dollar mansions

2018-03-24 13:25:23 UTC

"We need to let in all these migrants."
They say as they buy their 11'th 20 bedroom mansion and hide behind their security-guarded homes.
While at the same time hiding behind men with guns while espousing how horrible guns are.

2018-03-24 13:25:57 UTC

in a way, yes

2018-03-24 13:26:32 UTC

especially the last bit

2018-03-24 13:26:46 UTC

Nah, I know what you mean lol.
Kind of like how Al Gore goes on about global warming while flying around in his private jet.

2018-03-24 13:26:53 UTC

yes

2018-03-24 13:27:09 UTC

the hypocricy of virtue

2018-03-24 13:28:19 UTC

Like, I would say what and who I've donated to and how much, but I'm not looking for that kind of recognition or approval from people. I even consider mentioning that I do it at all as a form of kind of 'bragging' about it, but I was just bringing it up as an example.

2018-03-24 13:28:33 UTC

but it pretty much boils down to that you can judge a person by how loudly they announce their actions

2018-03-24 13:29:01 UTC

But then even saying that I do that in and of itself could be seen as seeking recognition. lol

2018-03-24 13:31:58 UTC

well its about the validation of it

A person who feels good by doing good won't need recognition because their own actions enrich them (the real heroes)

A person can still DO good but feel good by being recognised for it (that would be me :P)

And then theres people who don't to do genuine good but still want to be recognised as good (virtue signalers)

And people who don't do good and don't wanna be recognised (the people with lives too busy for this sort of virtue-crap)

2018-03-24 13:32:30 UTC

Yeah.

2018-03-24 13:33:39 UTC

but the point binding these fake do-gooders together is the fact that they all define themselves by how others see them

2018-03-24 13:34:04 UTC

so they rabidly try to appear as "good" so that the world sees them as good and they can be happy that they're "good" people

2018-03-24 13:34:08 UTC

The priorities have shifted from being good to looking good.

2018-03-24 13:34:13 UTC

well

2018-03-24 13:34:30 UTC

the priority moved to being "good" rather than being "right"

2018-03-24 13:34:44 UTC

I think that's more accurate, yeah.

2018-03-24 13:34:54 UTC

they'd rather be good and live a lie

2018-03-24 13:35:08 UTC

than not be a good person, but be right, and truthful

2018-03-24 13:35:27 UTC

I have to admit that I probably struggle with that too.

2018-03-24 13:35:35 UTC

No one wants to be 'the bad guy', even if they're right.

2018-03-24 13:35:47 UTC

exactly

2018-03-24 13:36:44 UTC

but it ultimately is what seperates the men from the boys

The men accept it, and stick to the knowledge they're right
the boys just want to be good and have their parents achnowledge them as "good boys"

2018-03-24 13:37:18 UTC

thats not to say that you must always be right, thats impossibruu

2018-03-24 13:37:37 UTC

but you must still strive to be right

not just sink to the easy "good boy" status because its easier

2018-03-24 13:40:12 UTC

but its because they want a state where its basically "its okay, atleast you tried"

2018-03-24 13:51:12 UTC

I’m just saying there’s an actual historical basis for claiming claiming sexuality is fluid and not binary.

2018-03-24 13:51:51 UTC

At the same time there’s nothing that’s going to convince me gender is a spectrum

2018-03-24 13:54:19 UTC

I’m also not trying to claim gender dysphoria isn’t a mental illness, because it clearly is

2018-03-24 13:55:39 UTC

well thats not even the issue

When you look at it, nobody cares what consenting adults do behind closed doors
If i don't know a person is a tranny, gay person or chinese, why should i care?

2018-03-24 13:56:31 UTC

its the fact they want to A, push this on children, and B force me to somehow partake in knowing what their sexuality is about that bothers me (and most people about this issue)

2018-03-24 13:56:58 UTC

its like the internets rule on girls

If you don't know the other player is one, you can't be sexist towards them

2018-03-24 13:57:58 UTC

also 100% on your 3 statements
