especially for gay couples seeking to adopt
this is assuming they are even allowed
in some places
I'm not particularly concerned with 'adoption' or 'foster care'. Those systems have serious problems, too.
Foster care is dependent.
The root problem is the culture of promiscuity and hedonism.
Cayse the subject is less a child more of a tenant.
Also deviancy.
I dont know if the right thing is to expose a child to deviancy at so young an age.
Deviancy has it's own problems, but often times impregnation isn't one of them...
What I advocate for is choice.
Making the right damn choice 'before' you have to destroy a human to erase your mistake.
If the abortion is done because the woman's choice was taken away from her, I.E. Rape, I 100% understand in that case
But in the grand scheme of things, those scenarios are EXTREMELY rare
Taken the words out of my mouth.
Like if you cant handle a child, stop sleeping around so much, use better contraceptives.
*yes* contraceptives can fail.
You decrease the chances the more methods you use.
Then you know the 100% contraceptive that works?
Not being a thot or stud.
Here's the thing, as a man, I will 100% back this up. If I had a child, I would support that child willingly from childhood to adulthood.
Problem is
If the woman wants it or dosent. The man has no choice in the matter.
I mean, those are the rules by which society runs today.
In an interesting turn of events, Tim happened to give probably the best 'pro choice' argument I think I've heard.
It's the usual libertarian stance.
It's actually pretty close to my personal stance, actually.
Oh, I'm all for protecting life. But not just in utero. Cradle to grave.
It's pretty close to my own, as well
except I come at it from a conservative libertarian stance
the interesting thing is seeing his angle, and noting the subtleties.
I'm really apathetic on abortion, TBH
the differences, and realizing that's where politics needs to go back to.
I think it's absolutely a valid fear as far as the Conservative side of things goes
that they might actually try to ban ALL forms of abortion.
And I'm not for that, either.
Abortion needs to be a procedure considered solemnly, like surgery or chemo.
I absolutely don't think an organization like Planned Parenthood takes it sufficiently seriously, especially given it's roots.
And the fanaticism surrounding the process is absolutely top-tier disgusting.
Oh, PP getting public money I'm against. I'm not really for anyone getting public money like that without good cause.
