I'm going to contest the idea of something like a hate crime being listed as a terrorist attack.
And I mentioned the study that number came from is faulty
Wether it be 10 years or since 9/11, the figures would look similar
As they group crimes or murders by white supremicists terror
frequent attacks are more scary imo, never know when they finally step up their game
Yes, because they are motivated by politics
Apparently never tbh
@RekItRalph how do you know?
Does that mean Eric Clanton is a terrorist?
Or Cuck Norris?
Because that is literally the definition
If it was over something more petty they wouldn’t count it
2010, 8 deaths, 17 injured. 2 deaths and 13 injuries from a man who ran his plane into the IRS building and called them Big Brother. We'll give him to the right wing. 1 death and 2 injuries from John Patrick Bedell who shot up the pentagon, in a surprise visit from the left wing. 4 deaths and 2 injuries from sovereign citizens, who I don't think anyone claims.
>I know what someone thinks because of the definition of the accusation
Because if we have to count all the left wing assaults, then the numbers are going to flip.
I don’t know why you guys are fixated on death tolls. I’m simply stating the fact that 74% of insodences were from white extremists
Okay? Where's that list?
Death toll is a separate issue
leftists absolutely dominate in terms of property damage, but that's not counted as terrorism despite being political violence :^)
Death toll is the more important issue*
GTD my dude
We dispute this number because it appears to us that you're creating arbitrary definitions to create the number.
74% of incidents is huuuge
downplaying that is just silly tbh
You want a big number, so you choose definitions of what is and is not an incident to create a big number.
Lies, damned lies, and statistics, as @Joe_Limon said
Now, now, we haven't looked at the data yet, let's not point fingers so early.
The definition is politically motivated violence. In this case, murder.
So it is death tolls?
If we included normal politically motivated violence then it would look more even
Death tolls are higher for Islam even post 9/11
Ok, so a death is required. Meaning the MAGAbomber doesn't count.
How do you measure if violence is politically motivated
What about premeditation?
Do you have tables, or graphs, or lists? For the 10 year period, that is.
If you study law, finding intention requires a process
And keep in mind I've already said that Right Wing appears to be a bigger source of domestic terrorism in the US in the last 10 years than Left Wing. Just that Islam is even more by far.
There’s also like, a billion studies on this
ooh, that's a useful site
Yeah, it's still the same numbers for 2008 and 2009.
