@DrYuriMom I got guesses. But at the risk of sounding naive, how to homosexual couples usually get kids?
Many ways. Adoption. Some couples have kids from previous relationships. Lesbians can get pregnant from anonymous donors.
Which do you think is the most common and which did you use?
Sorry if this is kinda personal. I was just curious. If I'm asking too much, just tell me.
I think it's one of those things that some people struggle with when you're talking about homosexual couples and kids. I was hoping maybe to get a bit better insight into how it worked for when I talk with other people.
My children are biological for both of us since when they were concieved I produced viable sperm and my wife produced viable eggs and had a functional uterus. I'm a decade out post-op transwoman. That said I know some lesbians with biological children. Also both gay and lesbian with kids from previous marriage. In some cases the previous spouse is dead or otherwise unable to be a parent anymore.
I believe the teenage pregnancy rate amongst homosexuals is higher than that of heterosexuals.
My brain just exploded
That would be an incredibly impressive figure.
@Joe_Limon this what you were thinking of?
Listen, I don't want to burst anyone's bubble.
But I'm pretty sure pregnancy rates are not rising among the gay youth.
Pretty sure that number has been flatlining since they recorded it.
did it say rising?
Okay, pregnancy is not more common among male homosexuals than...male heterosexuals? Yeah, I'm gonna take a swing and say those numbers are equal.
lmao
to be fair, its 3 different groups
gay, lesbian, and bi vs hetero
Some males have vaginas. And many of those are homosexual
No, Joe, that statement is oxymoronic.
what are you, a transphobe?
Hmm? I don't fear them, no.
Except maybe in a very abstract, large scale kind of sense.
"'The survey data also included students’ responses to a question about ever having been forced to have sex against their will.
For boys, behavior also accounted for a significant part of the increased risk, Lindley said. But, “what was different for the boys is if they were ever forced to have sex, they were more likely to cause a pregnancy.” ' this is fake news, everyone knows males can't be forced to have sex <:VeRiFiEd:463064374236413962> <:NPC:500042527231967262>
If someone with female genitalia identifies as male and has intercourse and thus becomes pregnant. Would that not be a homosexual male that has a vagina?
Hmm? No, that is a disturbed and confused pregnant woman.
Ehh tbf I don't care what someone identifies as. It has zero impact on me. And whatever we are currently doing seems to be pretty effective at darwinning off these confused individuals.
Yeah, this conversation has certainly left this individual very confused
that is the natural state of humans
The article linked above by grenade was what I was remembering. And I guess that number includes bi as well. The sticking point is that at this stage of life. People are far more likely to experiment so even full on homosexual individuals will have heterosexual intercourse in order to figure things out. The underlying problem of teen pregnancy in general however is a cultural issue amongst lgbt
Wow look at this, a channel for debating
Lies
Also slowmode bot.
Standardized tests make sense when they are conceived in the correct manner.
Tests that test specific knowledge, for example what you learned from a particular book or in a single class, are just a test of what you can remember.
But tests designed around entire bodies of knowledge, for example medical exams, are quite effective. They don't test what you remember but rather what you know.
There is a big difference
Agreed. My gripes with not only standardized testing but testing in general is that they are done in a way that doesn't encourage the students to learn what is being taught, and instead to memorize the information temporarily.
My psychiatric boards didn't ask me questions with four right answers and one right answer, they asked me questions with five right answers and asked what was the "best" answer among them. It required me to have real experience from my residency treating real patients and also to be very familiar with the literature so I can recognise what the current body of knowledge is as opposed to "traditional knowledge" which may have been superseded by new information.
