the japanese younger generation barely even votes in the presidential elections

2019-02-10 06:33:33 UTC

I'm trying to say that young people don't vote at the rates of the older generations in the US and as such it's like Japan.

2019-02-10 06:33:59 UTC

You're trying to argue Japan and the US are extremely different. I'm arguing they're more similar than you realize.

2019-02-10 06:34:34 UTC

culture wise yes we are extremely different

2019-02-10 06:34:59 UTC

i never said that older people vote less in the US either

2019-02-10 06:36:21 UTC

plus we see a lot of milenial activism in the US, where we barely have any protests or activism especially involving young people in japan, that;s a huge huge difference

2019-02-10 06:39:46 UTC

Fair. I gotta go.

2019-02-10 07:43:30 UTC

@pratel sorry I fell asleep. I have no objections, and no need to anonymize me.

2019-02-10 09:26:42 UTC

buisness culture in japan vs us is very different i'd say

2019-02-10 09:27:10 UTC

and the way they treat people is very different as well

2019-02-10 09:27:31 UTC

america is usually known for helping the poor, homeless what have you

2019-02-10 09:27:43 UTC

since we're founded on judeo-christian values

2019-02-10 09:28:19 UTC

homeless people in japan don't beg or put up signs asking for money and they dont even expect anyone to help them

2019-02-11 08:08:28 UTC

There are also only around 5k homeless people in Japan

2019-02-11 15:08:39 UTC

But arent the houses super cheap? Like some dont have acs or showers?

2019-02-11 15:09:19 UTC

And apartments are for sale rather than for rent? (Could be wrong there)

2019-02-12 02:27:47 UTC

The NFA and Hughes amendment should be repealed, AMA

2019-02-12 02:30:33 UTC

Any gun law is an infringement, don't @ me

2019-02-12 04:20:06 UTC

A law making gun purchases a tax write off is definitely not infringement.

2019-02-12 10:20:04 UTC

is racial equity a new form of racism?

2019-02-12 10:38:11 UTC

Define equity. If you mean providing help to those who need it, probably not. But if you are assuming that a person is in need of someones help just because of their skin color that seems kind of pandering to me. Racisim of low expectations.. "they are just simple folk that can't make it on their own so they need help from us." It completely negates personal responsibility, and all the strides made by others.

2019-02-12 10:45:25 UTC

well the equity that they wanna put unto government the AOC use of equity cus that seems realy racist to me ...

2019-02-12 10:46:36 UTC

like helping person just because their skin color is diffirent and making things difficult for someone just because their skin is different

that seems pretty racist to me

2019-02-12 13:15:56 UTC

That's the very definition of racism, judging people based on their skin color

2019-02-12 13:16:13 UTC

Welcome to the party

2019-02-12 13:16:44 UTC

Stuff has been going on decades ago

2019-02-12 14:15:07 UTC

well yeah but why are they sayin they arent racist? lolz xD they are like kids xD dont wanna be called by bad word so they make a new one xD

2019-02-12 14:24:04 UTC

Its to make a political issue to get votes over things that dont interrupt the overall plan. At least imo

2019-02-12 14:34:41 UTC

Its like how the wall has been promised since the reagan years but they dont deliver so they can keep running elections based on that issue

2019-02-12 14:36:53 UTC

but they men literally a wall and say a wall but dems use racial equity and mean racism ... i think that is somewhat different

2019-02-12 14:42:20 UTC

I mean it is. I just mean the issue ofnother races is always a political issue, never how state runs or other important matters

2019-02-12 14:43:39 UTC

i dont think it is a political issue bat a racist issue ... race has no place in politics ethnicity does but not race (color of skin)

2019-02-12 16:55:08 UTC

Well i dont know about that part

2019-02-12 19:00:40 UTC

Equity means equality of outcome

2019-02-12 19:01:22 UTC

Equality means that everyone gets the same opportunities

2019-02-12 19:39:16 UTC

Neither is achievable though

2019-02-12 21:17:21 UTC

However, only one will assure that the common denominator is our maximum achievable output.

2019-02-12 21:17:52 UTC

One is confining, the other liberating.

2019-02-12 21:50:01 UTC

Ill agree to that. But saying everyone gets the same oppurtunities is very misleading. World isnt cruel, its just uncaring. Forgot who i heard that from.

2019-02-12 22:29:55 UTC

@Blackhawk342 For both you have to limit someones potential
