Did some lurking on 4chan and alt-right discords and found nothing suggesting it hasn't lost steam

@cmdline dude, nothing from an extremist group (IGD) is credible

all they did was screenshot 1 4chan post and a few discord posts with 0 context other than mindless speculation

though i'm not saying neo-nazis don't exist, it's not actually that hard to find where they crawl online

and often times it's 4chan that facilitates troll raids against the KKK, pedophiles, and neo-nazis

I know nothing about IGD and was sent the post and asked to check its credibility. Idrc about the source but from the lack of knowledge of the event in this discord and others i'm fairly sure there isn't much to it. thanks tho. Also /pol/ seems pretty far alt-right to me, so my experience with 4chan in recent years doesn't really mesh with that account.

/pol/ is mainly shitposters and people disenfranchised with politics all-together - theyve become observers/mockers of politics

in terms of /pol/'s values on average it's definitely closer to the alt-right than progressive left (at least in the past year)

but 90% of it is reactive

and the progressive left just happens to be putting out the most garbage in volume

so it's normal to see

reddit is more constructive assuming you can find moderators that allow politics and are mostly neutral when things get heated

IGD is pretty bad. I think it was them who had articles about how to sabotage train tracks and lots of pro antifa stuff.
