@Deleted User There's some confusion as to when (generationally) people should switch from <whatever>-American to just American
so when you say americans
you are disregarding a ton of the population out of the gate
The simple answer is to just be American, and not have race or 'previous' nationality be taken into consideration.
A nation is a people not just some civics.
what about the native americans?
they aren't white
are they americans?
No American Indians aren't Americans because American is a nationlity not just some civics.
so
Nationality is Civics, isn't it?
So Nationality = Race?
a group of people without a nation?
i guess we can just deport them to the fucking ocean
Wait, let me have Aussie on this...
kk
@Deleted User Nationality is the same as Race?
A nationality is "an ethnic group forming a part of one or more political nations." look it up.
Well, I mean if you're going to skip the first definition
Can a nation comprise of more than one ethnic group?
"the status of belonging to a particular nation."
So you're saying that American is a race.
Since, that definition, comes with that as a synonym.
No I am saying I only consider white people in America as Americans.
Well that's great, since you're not American.
By your own standards, you shouldn't be concerned with America, since we're a different race.
I am white mate.
But you're austrailian. That's your nationality.
You can be white and not American.
Therefore, you're not American.
Yes I am Australian.
We're different races.
I know I am not American.
You can either discard that definition, or resign the fact that we're not the same race.
Because that's the argument you made
Just like how Jews in the US can’t say they’re Israeli.
Bad example.
I am saying white people can be a western nationality.
@RyeNorth Hang on, I think AussieAryan is going based on the second definition now. In saying "I am white mate", he's saying he's part of the same nationality that "form[s] a part of one or more political nations"
How is it a bad example?
