The most exotic I get these days is 303 british
The prices for 338 lapua is ridicules
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeup
I decided the advantages outweighed going to the more common 300 winmag
If your using it for long range accuracy then yes.
It's just a little leap forward for where the transonic period occurs while putting a bit more on target in terms of weight
The added weight and some of the newer bullet designs really convinced me the most
interesting
They get super high BC's
.85's and above
berger OTM hybrids especially; but there are a bunch of monolithic solids for target shooting that are very nice
You'd never want to shoot an animal with one since it'd just go straight through, but for targets, why not?
When hunting, do you want ammo that pierce? Not sure but I assume you want to generally kill on the first shot.
When hunting you want enough penetration to reach the vital organs and not much more. The 338 lapua would go straight through anything you shoot. So its a lot of wasted energy and you have a high speed projectile still going down range.
Ah, I see, some piercing, but not enough to go all the way through
yep
That's why hollow points are so popular for hunting. They transfer of the energy to the target, giving a cleaner kill
Lapua magnum? Huh, I forgot 338 Lapua was the name.
Damn, fucking jealous of you guys.
Be jealous of the other guy, no way I can afford a 338 Lapua.
but not the ammo
lol
I paid out for a sako TRG
I think I posted it in SP
But I'll post it there again
reminds me of the joke about .50 bmg guns. That they shoot five dollar bills.
I’ve probably shot $100/round before. Literally burning money.
sounds like a bunch of Moneyshots to me
To get a few coworkers into guns I'd drop a hundred on a range trip
I blame having too many guns
Work it in the end to have people support the 2A
yes
If I didn't handload
I'd be around 5 dollars per round
7 for the lapua built stuff.
The biggest story of our time, the story that future historians will be writing about, isn't Russian collusion, isn't Islamic terrorism, isn't climate change or even Donald Trump's tax returns. The biggest story of our age, is a story that is taboo for us to even discuss. A story which is being cloaked in a conspiracy of silence by our political class, both left and right. A story that dares not even speak its name. That's right, by far the biggest story of our time, is the deliberate demographic transformation of some of the oldest and most successful societies on earth. A demographic transformation, which is seeing every European and North American nation systematically changed, from being populated by white Europeans, to being predominantly populated by non-whites imported from the third world. A demographic transformation which dwarfs other historical events such as the expansion of the Roman Empire or the Norman conquest. A demographic transformation that, were it happening to any nation's other than white nations, would be called ethnic cleansing and be the subject of endless UN resolutions aimed at ending it. In fact, never before in the course of human history, has an entire culture, race and civilisation, so thoroughly and willingly turned against it's own indigenous peoples and decided to hand over it's lands, social capital, cultural heritage and national identity to competing alien cultures - without a fight. And yet this colossal story is being wilfully, wantonly and very purposefully, ignored by a highly politically motivated corporate media. A Media which is now effectively acting as a self appointed Diversity Commissar. A Commissar who believes its primary role today, is to decide what it is, you don't need to know.
Huge fucking wall of text, mate. Learn to parse.
I largely agree with that statement, Aussie. If that were what you were fighting against, I'd be on your side. But you can't do surgery with a broadsword. The Alt Right ideology is an overcorrection.
Also, thank goodness Tim gave me a new word today. 'Semantic Campaign'.
I think it explains what's going on Ryecast, yes I know it's a lot to read but what we are dealing with is very complicated. I don't think surgery will save the west when we are dealing with Millions of people. You don't use a fishing rod to catch lots of fish you use a net.
