thats different from "more money thats worth less" which is what inflation is
"more money thats worth more" requires significant productivity development against foreign nations
and that only happens with a lot of investment into industries, which generally requires more money to be printed
so when you contract the money supply, you get less investment, which reduces your long term productivity, which actually makes your money worth less against foreigners since their productivity hasnt had the same shackles as yours
even though you've reduced the supply it is worth less!
thats the sick bit about IMF policies
they implement policies to "make their currency stronger" but then in the long term it makes it weaker
