because the original idea was "well, Science for example keeps changing due to new evidence, so no one can ever be the DEFINITIVE authority on an answer".

But people have re-read that as i stated earlier "I see things differently, and since no one can ever be the definitive authority, i feel like my view has merit too, because yours could be just as wrong, hence I get to chose what i believe, and i believe in my things, despite what evidence said because the evidence could turn out to be wrong"
