Herdsmen for the slogan chanters and sign wavers.
It's really hard to get a feel for this stuff because of the bubble effect. I am definitely in a bubble.
I wanna revive Kekistan. It's an amazing weapon against identity politics
Sargon's initial plan was to get it registered as an ethnicity
So I've watch a great number of videos discussing this "EUR-Lex - 52016PC0593" article 13.
But they all just read from news-sites and not from the article itself.
So I looked it up at <https://eur-lex.europa.eu>.
I may just not understand lawyer words, but it seriously doesn't seems so bad at many say it is.
From I understand it's saying sites should have some sort of feature that allows copyright holders to flag/notice the site of copyrighted material...
What's throwing me off is the "**such as** appropriate and proportionate content recognition technologies" in part 3.
So it doesn't mean it HAS TO be like YouTube's ContentID system, right?
I suggest reading up on the copyright algorithm that is supposed to be used for the implementation of Article 13
Do you know where I can find that?
@XDRosenheim imagine article 13 has passed, and i'm tying to start up a new chat service or search engine and it allows for links. Now i'm going to start operating in the EU. I have no way of knowing a website has invoked its copyright holder rights. If i allow someone to post that link, i'm in serious trouble. So the logical choice is to block all EU based links until they get added to a list i have of places who have given me permission. So i don't have links in the EU, at least not a first. Now lets each individual link from a site has the potential to be flagged as copyright because each link is a different story so maybe one the copyright holder wants money for and the other they don't. Now i need to ask for permission FOR EVERY LINK. Why would i bother enabling links at that point when they won't show up for possibly days or weeks if at all or cost me lots of money?
what happens if a link is posted and i don't get notified its copy right status was no good or perhaps even changed?
also, did you read article 11? because it is also related if i remember
The open letter here sums it up pretty well https://savecodeshare.eu
"Information society service providers that store and provide to the public access to large amounts of works or other subject-matter uploaded by their users shall, in cooperation with rightholders, take measures to ensure the functioning of agreements concluded with rightholders for the use of their works or other subject-matter or to prevent the availability on their services of works or other subject-matter identified by rightholders through the cooperation with the service providers. Those measures, such as the use of effective content recognition technologies, shall be appropriate and proportionate. The service providers shall provide rightholders with adequate information on the functioning and the deployment of the measures, as well as, when relevant, adequate reporting on the recognition and use of the works and other subject-matter."
That is paragraph 1 of article 13. That sounds like youtubes copyright systems.

i think the family separation thing is a "big ask"
trump changes policy to prosecute all illegal entrants
now trump walks it back
and everyone is guna go wooo we did it
then ignore the actual enforcement on the border
wasnt it going on for over 16yrs? ... and he ended it?
ask for something really big, then walk it back acting as though youve conceded ground
no
trump start a zero tolerance policy
so technically its not a new law
its just that trump is locking up every offender
kids dont go to jail with their parents
then there is the issue of not being able to prove their your kids
then there is the issue of not being able to just send a bunch of central americans without documents into mexico
its complicated as fuck
someone was talking to me about dna testing might be an option... not sure how expensive that is...
we cant just let everyone in, thats too extreme
takes a long time
but once people come in and dont have documents where do we send them?
I think familial dna testing is pretty quick these days isnt it?
yeah its an expensive process to find out where people came from
I hope the US doesnt adopt the failed british system where we used to pay people £5000 to go back to their home country
