I dont disagree there. Theres good in the bad.
So there's no reason South Africa shouldn't honor him in some way.
But the sum of the parts sum up to SA becoming alot worse off than it is.
I guess. He is an icon who deserves to be remembered.
I just wish people would also get the whole picture, good and bad
You can say that about alot of people. But it's not a reason to tear down celebrations in his name.
Or to tear down statues.
I just think hes overrated, thats all.
store exiled due to kekistani flags
i need to get rid of my magic cards
ive got like 10-20k$ worth
I dont like where this narative is heading
And its comming from multiple outlets
Also when they " demote " certain content they are talking about ppl like Tim as well
😡
its all planned
Well facebook and youtube are in a hard place with this
So they do all these half measures
This narrative is ultimately the goal. The legacy media and powers that be want to reassert control of the internet and stamp out any opposing narratives.
They can't do it on their own and they don't want to pick a fight with the government (due to the 1st amendment) so they go after the social media companies instead.
I get the impression alot of the base employees at YT and FB want to play censor but the leadership is still libertarian.
Well its also economic
They need the ad bucks
Compare Reddit 2012 to Reddit 2018.
They're hitting middle strides. Trying to take pressure off.
Well the discussion is about curration and its scale
So what is facebook going to start basically shadowbanning people? I find that far worse than outright censorship and banning
Some people say they already do.
Its harder to prove
They do it in some cases
Facebook is a very bad actor on many occasions
They like to give info to dictators and such
People have been forcing narratives to enact change through cultural artificial selection for a long time now, but at the risk of sounding hyperbolic lately it's been ramping up to cultural genocide, or memocide I suppose
Yep
Breitbart is always sketchy, but they claim there have been pages banned.

The Gateway Pundit is also fairly sketchy but are saying they are seeing massive drops in engagement.

Not sure how accurate this is, but there's not much a priori reason to doubt Facebook is playing games either.
Ofc they are
