look at it this way, Assange will most likely feel so much regret for his action in russian meddling,

He'll soon commit suicide by shooting himself several times through the back of the head

@The Beatles are just ok Wasn't aware of that, but I did see a clip of Kyle Kulinski discussing how Ocasio-Cortez isn't for a post-capitalist society, since she supports small business tax cuts. He was responding to a video by Sargon, apparently.

2018-07-27 13:07:14 UTC

@@possumsquat93 I asked Michael and he said he couldn't find the reference to that claim but others did point out the same thing but I couldn't find a direct source. So..... Anyway what is a "post-capitalist" society?

2018-07-27 13:08:01 UTC

communism

2018-07-27 13:25:08 UTC

What you're left with once capitalism has been abolished, I guess.

2018-07-27 13:30:57 UTC

Kyle went on to say that the term "democratic socialism" has evolved to encompass social democracy.

2018-07-27 13:42:29 UTC

Kyle is a quack

2018-07-27 13:46:24 UTC

Here's the clip I was referring to. 1:50 to 5:20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fqLGF6NP8U

2018-07-27 13:46:59 UTC

Daily reminder muh socialism works

2018-07-27 13:50:52 UTC

i don't get it 😛

2018-07-27 13:51:12 UTC

but theres little difference between democratic socialism and social democracy

2018-07-27 13:51:30 UTC

One wants to redistribute resources,
The other wants to redistribute wealth, to pay for those resources

2018-07-27 14:57:18 UTC

Glad twitter and facebook stock are down get woke go broke

Issue is, Wikileaks is a publisher

2018-07-27 15:04:46 UTC

@Dr.Wol If they're so similar, why do people tend to look far more favorably on the Scandinavian system?

2018-07-27 15:09:17 UTC

Very concentration nation, very uniform culture, one that does not like conflict.

2018-07-27 15:09:23 UTC

People there are more submissive.

2018-07-27 15:09:47 UTC

because they don't know the data all that well,

The Scandinavian system works well because
- They're smaller nations
- They are capitalist
- One Culture
- More jobs than people, so theres good money going around
- High amount of natural resources

2018-07-27 15:10:18 UTC

Norway for example, is sitting on the largest pile of oil in the world,
Price per person would make every single Norwegian a multi-millionaire

2018-07-27 15:10:31 UTC

but instead of giving that money to everyone, they're using it to pay for social programs

2018-07-27 15:12:24 UTC

826 billion dollars of oil

for 5 million people

2018-07-27 15:15:01 UTC

I doubt Americans would oppose to that model, if they sat on a resource worth trillions, so they don't have to pay for those extra costs in taxes

2018-07-27 15:16:28 UTC

besides, here in the Netherlands we have the scandinavian system,

Our healthcare is appaling

2018-07-27 15:18:08 UTC

they're cutting cost for pensioners, and childrens care, and want to instead implement aids medicine on it,

2018-07-27 15:18:24 UTC

ours is even sexist, I have to pay for some medicine what women don't have to pay for 😒 no joke

2018-07-27 15:19:05 UTC

Would that be solved if the US found say, a huge oil deposit within their borders

2018-07-27 15:19:32 UTC

Id imagine the Norweigians are not exploiting the oil due to well, nature preservation or stuff like that

2018-07-27 15:19:46 UTC

no, because in the US an oil company would claim it, so its private ownership, you'd have one company becoming very rich

2018-07-27 15:20:27 UTC

Wouldn't you need to have a public oil project find a deposit with the value of tens of trillions?

2018-07-27 15:20:28 UTC

Called it

2018-07-27 15:20:42 UTC

yes

2018-07-27 15:20:53 UTC

Sounds unlikely

2018-07-27 15:21:03 UTC

but the difference is, that in Norway, all land is considered part of the Norwegian state, so they can claim rights

2018-07-27 15:21:07 UTC

in the US, you can buy the land

2018-07-27 15:21:36 UTC

You can buy land in a way

2018-07-27 15:21:48 UTC

Because land owners still have to pay property taxes

2018-07-27 15:21:54 UTC

Whats stoppping the norwegians from digging that oil

2018-07-27 15:22:10 UTC

Which, as far as I'm concerned, are basically land rental fees
