On the list of things that's not happening. https://www.wkyt.com/content/news/Arizona-Sen-Jeff-Flake-considering-2020-Presidential-run--494858841.html
I got a hunch Flake is probably less popular with Republicans than many Democratic politicians.
Statistics are strange. I have been searching for a study that accurately presents what percent of accusation of rape, sexual assault or harassment are false. There are many studies that state about 2 to 5%. BUT these are from a basis of those brought to authorities. Most I would imagine never get that far, and prosecutors will only bring cases that they think they will win, so this number is reasonable, BUT does not indicate all the false accusations made.
I have seen studies that say about 40% of cases from women go unreported. But it is very difficult to to get data on men. How many false accusations of men go unreported?
I have done personal surveys, and it is hard to find a man that has not been at one time or another been falsely accused. Most, just suffer minor to major issues in their lives and men just have to take it. But if you know of a serious study that surveys men on this, I would be curious. Googling it, does not show much on this specific topic.
One has to filter the 100s of articles written in favor of women. Interesting that few of these studies exist.
For example, look at this Kavenaugh case. If false, it will never show up as a false accusation. But look at the damage it does.
you have to understand that men dont report these things generally. historically the man would be shamed for being a victim of anything involving a woman. Also the 40% of women dont report is pure hyperbol. because if they dont report you cant collect that data. its proving a negative
The other curious thing is rape/assault conviction rates, which is not the same as proving a false accusation. Conviction rates are only about 5 to 10%.
