Google wants to protect dialogue by ending it.
Unfortunately for google, blockchain propagation of data is quickly being researched and advanced in a way that youtube may soon be ousted.
and we've seen how fast old platforms die when a truly superior competitor shows up.

they're balls deep in the internet infrastructure
many (all?) implementations of blockchain hosting would prevent the removal of illegal material and the enforcement of copyright. i cannot see any infrastructure for such being permitted to exist in the US large scale.
it's not like the feds are just going to shrug and say "welp guess we can't delete all that CP"
they'll go after anyone who hosts the network.

not sure what I was aiming for anymore but the context was that youtube has royally fucked up repeatedly and google is openly censoring anyone they disagree with, even putting out that "Good Censor" thing internally that later got leaked.

What we need is the government to step in, pick up that google "Good Censor" document, and say "heeey, this thing says you guys openly admit you're no longer just a Platform, but you're acting as a Publisher... Well, I guess that means you don't want those Section 230 protections anymore, Riiiiight? Make you a deal- Stop fucking censoring politics you disagree with and you can keep it, but you keep this up, and we're going to start prosecuting you to the fullest extent of the law. one of ben shapiro's people got suspended on twitter earlier today for a joke, so maybe they'll start getting the hint. the big problem we face is that the mainstream conservatives with connections in washington are generally unaffected by the censorship and therefore they doubt it's even happening.
or else they're nevertrumper types who the left doesn't want to censor.
