So gib Ukraine nuke

2018-11-27 19:13:34 UTC

The violation of the memorandum took place in 2014, under Obama. Had Obama acted decisively, the annexation of Crimea could've been avoided.

2018-11-27 19:13:50 UTC

Analogous to the reoccupation of the Rhineland.

2018-11-27 19:13:56 UTC

And it started under Clinton

2018-11-27 19:14:17 UTC

Had Great Britain or France acted decisively, the standing order was for immediate retreat.

2018-11-27 19:14:39 UTC

"On 24 March 2014, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper led the rest of the G7 partners at an ad-hoc meeting during the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague to suspend Russian membership, partially, said Harper, because Russia had violated the Budapest Memorandum. He said that Ukraine had given up its nuclear weapons "on the basis of an explicit Russian guarantee of its territorial integrity. By breaching that guarantee, President Putin has provided a rationale for those elsewhere who needed little more than that already furnished by pride or grievance to arm themselves to the teeth." Harper also indicated support for Ukraine by saying he would work with the new Ukrainian government towards a free trade agreement.[26] Harper was subsequently defeated in the federal election of October 15,2015, and resigned as leader of the Conservative Party."
Ayy

If Obama airlifted an Armored Brigade Combat Team to Poland under the pretext of an exercise, then perhaps that would've been sufficient.

2018-11-27 19:16:31 UTC

@Beemann but Justin is soooo dreamyy~~~

2018-11-27 19:18:46 UTC

🤢

2018-11-27 19:27:45 UTC

Harper was just on Ben Shapiro actually @Beemann

2018-11-27 19:28:28 UTC

Neat. He's a bit of a dork and a little too neocon but every so often I come across a solid decision

2018-11-27 19:28:41 UTC

And at least he didn't tax small business to death

2018-11-27 19:28:53 UTC

He did muzzle his scientists tho

2018-11-27 19:28:56 UTC

and that's annoying

2018-11-27 19:33:01 UTC

The first reply to this tweet is "Trump will cede Ukraine to his pal, Putin"
This is exactly how the left intends to pressure Trump into intervention.

2018-11-27 19:33:23 UTC

Basically "If you don't start a war with Russia you're Putin's bitch"

2018-11-27 19:33:45 UTC

Absolute insanity.

2018-11-27 19:34:23 UTC

So many useful idiots who were born too late to remember the cold war.

2018-11-27 19:37:46 UTC

i was born to late but was taught all about it in school.

2018-11-27 19:38:08 UTC

which boiled down to "Russia hates the US and we hate them. and McCarthy was probably not the best."

2018-11-27 19:54:34 UTC

german government released a brochure for kindergardens

2018-11-27 19:55:12 UTC

to fight "wrong opinions" of parents and kids, since the right parties in germany get so many voters nowadays

2018-11-27 20:12:31 UTC

I always get confused over when it's America's job to police the entire world and save them from oppression, and when American intervention would be modern day colonialism.

2018-11-27 20:19:28 UTC

@mer.at The "right fright" is really appaling in Germany right now...

2018-11-27 20:19:43 UTC

they seem to want to go full commie here

2018-11-27 20:32:09 UTC

I never implicated Trump for our failure to live up to the declaration. I'm not even certain we're wrong since I'm not sure we should go to war over Ukraine. I'm saying we never should have made the commitment.

2018-11-27 20:34:40 UTC

Watch the left denigrate Trump for talking to Putin with the goal of *avoiding war*.

2018-11-27 20:35:53 UTC

Obama correctly realized it would be suicide for us to become militarily involved in Ukraine. We can form a decent defensive line with eastern Europe (Baltics notwithstanding) and we have tripwire troops there and a clear treaty agreement with NATO. Not the case with Ukraine.

2018-11-27 20:37:35 UTC

Economic sanctions were employed by Europe and the rest of the world including the US in 2014. We need to clamp that more even if it's inconvenient to us (ie gas and oil).

2018-11-27 20:38:23 UTC

Tell that to Germany and France.

2018-11-27 20:38:28 UTC

Oh, sanctioning gas and oil is not inconvenient to you
Europe might have a different opinion though

2018-11-27 20:39:00 UTC

Who, oddly enough, are trying to convince their citizens that they don't need the US and can't depend on them.

2018-11-27 20:39:40 UTC

Effective sanctions against Russian oil will raise oil prices. That's inconvenient to me as a consumer although not as a shareholder in oil companies.

2018-11-27 20:40:14 UTC

```Tell that to Germany and France.```
Germany + France going to war with Russia and loosing is actually the best that can happen for us right now.
