Lmao. Never seen a better interview with him.
NBC news needs to get its act together.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-becomes-first-president-2002-not-visit-troops-christmastime-n951846
The Times did the same thing, posting news after the White House put the lid on Christmas afternoon. Most of NBC and the Times didn't know for OpSec reasons that Trump and the Press Pool immediately then started for Andrews.
This wasn't lying, this was just forgetting that some places the President goes doesn't get announced ahead of time
I am wondering why they donβt add a note in the top or bottom or any place, stating; this was published before WH announced its trip. Me stumbling on it now, and others gets their bias confirmed the MSM is merely out to trash Trump at any opportunity.
The Times did. I'm surprised that NBC did not. Sloppiness. π
"This isn't lying. It's just reporting untrue things without verifying them."
At the time they reported it, it was true. The White House had a lid and wasn't going to deny it due to OpSec.
...That's not how truth works, I'm sure you know.
Actually, it is. Anything that gets reported is only as good as the information available at the time of publication.
The Times had no way of knowing what the White House had planned other than to break Presidential safety protocols by having the secure portion of the Times break the seal. Trust me, if that had happened we'd all be hearing about it, and rightly so. The problem with the Times and NBC reporting is that they weren't clear that they were reporting up to Christmas Day and instead said Christmastime. That's unfortunate for them and evidence of sloppiness, but certainly not foul play. They reported what was available to the public and which the White House would confirm at the time.
Here is a question
Why the fuck does it matter if he visits the troops or not?
I donβt fathom the US news industry is so focused on Trump and casting in him in poor light.
Just like the fake news story from newsweek where he allegedly revealed the identity of covert operatives.
Money and Ideology
Drumpf headlines get them clicks
yep
they're so desperate they'll sink to the levels of tabloids if it will keep them out of bankruptcy
trump insulting just gets clicks
The White House and news media are both at fault for that fuckup. The White House should know better than to publish that stuff, especially since it was clearly pandering with MAGA hats and all, but the news media should not have spread it and even researched names and all.
And the information on the event was "We don't know what Trump is doing for Christmas". But they reported he didn't visit the troops.
It's a clear instance of them manipulating their own news to confirm with their inherent biases, or more cynically, to a story that gets them more money.
Its the same thing as calling the AfD Right wing Radicals.
Those Morons...
Vox is either completely illiterate with data, or with common language; or they are dedicated to terrifying ordinary Americans with misinterpreted statistics.

there have been fewer than thirty actual mass shootings (which I would define, I think like many people, as shootings which are also mass murders [four or more people killed unjustifiably in one incident, not including the perpetrator])
and if you take it even further and remove the cases where somebody kills their entire family, or their ex wife's entire family, or their ex his/her friends (and I think a lot of people would agree with differentiating that), it's less still, maybe something like 16.
(too lazy right now to rerun the numbers like I did back in November <https://twitter.com/aaronmhamilton/status/1060997015310610433>)
The TDS is strong in that one.
honestly
other than that it's a pretty good supercut
