Apparently the courts are currently ruling that anything that could potentially impede voting is an obstruction of voting rights.

2018-11-24 19:22:43 UTC

I mean, the idea behind voter ID laws was more about illegal immigrants

2018-11-24 19:22:52 UTC

Not really black people

2018-11-24 19:23:06 UTC

Well, unequal access to transportation can impede voting.

2018-11-24 19:23:20 UTC

Those arguments fail in a million ways.

2018-11-24 19:23:27 UTC

That's why the Democrats bus everybody.

2018-11-24 19:23:29 UTC

Equality!

2018-11-24 19:26:21 UTC

lol

2018-11-25 00:16:37 UTC

You can't do anything really as an adult without some sort of ID. Bank accounts, a job, renting an apartment/buying a house, taking out loans, etc. It's pretty difficult to function on a basic level without one.

2018-11-25 00:45:51 UTC

Yeah and there si this Ami Horrowitz Video, where he asks black people about ID. and the DMV.

2018-11-25 00:46:06 UTC

and they all look at him funny, like "are you an idiot?" way...

2018-11-25 00:46:35 UTC

This all just boils down to these poor people just acting stupid

2018-11-25 00:47:18 UTC

Why must the id not be allowed if the only arguements against it have a slippery slope

2018-11-25 00:50:11 UTC

Because without Voter ID Laws that are checked and cross referenced with other organs of Gouvernment, you can't cheat and let illegals vote

2018-11-25 00:50:48 UTC

because that would not be possible as it would have been prevented by the Citizen Register thingy...

2018-11-25 00:52:33 UTC

We already have a register

2018-11-25 00:52:54 UTC

Social Security?

2018-11-25 00:54:01 UTC

No, the voter registry. You have to register to vote.

2018-11-25 00:54:43 UTC

When you show up there is a list of registered voters and you sign in by your name.

2018-11-25 01:03:41 UTC

I've only voted like 3 times and in all three times they ask for ID, drivers license or social security.

2018-11-25 01:04:11 UTC

And before then I had to register. So why the talk about voter ID?

2018-11-25 01:04:45 UTC

Is there any inherent security that comes with that?

2018-11-25 01:06:03 UTC

didn't think of that that is a good talking point

2018-11-25 01:13:03 UTC

What I'm saying is that if there are already people who can fake IDs then there are people who can fake voter id

2018-11-25 01:15:30 UTC

That's why IDs need better security measures implemented

2018-11-25 01:16:13 UTC

The problem with voter registration is a lot of places simply don't check up on it

2018-11-25 01:16:35 UTC

and if you can't verify the person who is claiming to be someone, then it is easy to have impersonators

2018-11-25 01:17:07 UTC

I remember before they implemented voter ID in my state, you could literally walk into the place and just write your name on a piece of paper and vote

2018-11-25 01:17:29 UTC

I could go in and vote under my neighbor's name if I wanted and nobody could say anything about it

2018-11-25 01:18:00 UTC

I could go from polling center to polling center and have no hindrance on claiming to be someone from each place if I wanted to

2018-11-25 01:18:20 UTC

now that we have voter ID, I have to show them identification or I can't vote

2018-11-25 01:31:22 UTC

Oh now THATS a problem.

2018-11-25 01:32:01 UTC

I don't see why not having verification is so bad. Atleast in the level we have in Florida

2018-11-25 01:35:09 UTC

There are a lot of incompetent people running polling centers. Anything that will force them to actually verify that an election is being performed legitimately I will fullheartedly support.

2018-11-25 01:38:57 UTC

In Florida they just ask for your id. They scan it, you sign something on thier touch screen and they ask you to wait for them to print your ballot. They print it you show them your id again and that's it. It's a simple process that I think should be more widespread

2018-11-25 01:39:37 UTC

That's exactly how they do it here in MS. It's very straightforward and not any more invasive than buying a beer

2018-11-25 01:40:05 UTC

Are there any places in particular that have these loopholes?

2018-11-25 01:40:19 UTC

You should see the dim bulbs running the Board of Elections where I live. Lucas Co, Ohio.

2018-11-25 01:40:27 UTC

No I mean we do it the same here as you do in FL

2018-11-25 01:40:40 UTC

we don't have the security problems we had back before the voter ID law

2018-11-25 01:41:12 UTC

I understand, what I ask is what kinds of places have you seen this incompetence mentioned before
