pershing was stone walled for a very good reason
and the guy who did it IIRC was an artillery guy?
but the reason was very sound
Matilda 1 or 2?
eh, dont recall which one but I've not heard bad about the matilda as an infantry tank
2 then
possibly
The 2 saw most use I believe
IIRC even the soviets liked the matilda
Maus was best Tank in WW2 😛
And I am quite fond of the II, which most people just refer to as Matilda
@Stefan Payne Go away Wehraboo
ironic really since, germans, copied UK written doctrine on tank warfare
and their early tanks were, not very good
And didn't The Chieftain shit on the Sherman a bit??
The Matilda I is quite a forgotten tank
panzer III being ok
um, @Stefan Payne had the chieftan turned up in WW2
everyone would have shat their pants
given its a 1960s tank
not THAT Chieftain. The Moranes Guy
I believe the Panzer II was also supposed to be a training tank, very unsure
heh
I like him
No, Nikolas Moran
@Ikea-Chan every crap tank was suspose to be the training tank ... ok ? leave the cruiser tanks alone they were training tanks alright
Every crap tank wasn't a training tank
Look at Japan and Italy
ok ok so he's a fookin rebellious RoI bugger who went to the US
I still like him
I'll have to say the Germans were smart in using Czech tankses
They used them until they became obsolete
dammit out of limoncello
Then they made the Hetzer from them
What good reason was there to not implement the Pershing?
The Shermans were having tons of issues with subpar armor and penetration.
lack of numbers lack of improvement over what could be produced in far superior numbers and lack of logistic trains behind it
Which would have been ameliorated if production wasn't shelved.
>lack of numbers
