I know
gender is a social construct and should be abolished. reduce it to biological sex and be done with it.
I believe there are two genders and I don't think it's a social construct
that being said
I couldn't care less what someone else does
its always been interchangeable with sex
if it makes them happy so what
just becaus I think being gay is immoral doesn't mean I care about that either
my wife and I proudly did photography for a gay frond of ours in texas when it became legal
people need to make their own choices to be happy
for the record gay marriage should absolutely be legal
didn't anyone to get me wrong on that
for the record, marriage probably shouldn't be a legal construct.
or at least not in name
totally freaking agree
call it a union whatever
this is for straight or gsy
Co-dependent union contract
yup
natural order of things
marriage should be used to protect children from living in a single parent home, everything else is bullshit to make money for the diamond industry 😉
call it a civic union and be done with it. let people and churches decide who gets to call themselves married
I wish there was a centrist conservative
i mean, i took that argument from ben
Crowder is close
yeah Ben is right on that one
government shounbt be in the marriage business
It's odd that the legal idea of marriage is tied to the idea of a sexual relationship
well it was not anymore
technically i don;t think it is
It technically isn't, and shouldn't
i think common law marriage is just "you've been living in the same place for like 10 years. you are married now."
If two MGTOW straight best friends plan on being roommates for the forseeable future (well-planned out), should they be able to get the legal benefits of marriage?
(like if the uncles in Secondhand Lions hadn't actually been related, just good friends)
I support completely privatising marriage
really i think the legal aspects of marriage should be split up into different pieces that can be applied for separately, depending on criteria only relevant to them.
I crafted that same argument independently.
It's the most libertarian path you can take on the issue
and actually utilizes the concept of 'Separation of Church and State' in a way that makes sense.
it makes sense, i just never occurred to me, idk why really.
i mean, the though of calling current marriage just civil union so as to avoid the word marriage occurred to me long ago.
