well, in a sense they never really could, the main problem with the EU and US (and canada) is that they share the english internet, and china only really controls and has access to the chinese internet
Yes they are, but they are doing it by exporting hackers
Ah in that case yes
if china was a free, english speaking country and they instituted their internet laws tomorrow, it would do massive damage to the internet
but the laws going up in the earlier days of the net and only really affecting chinese websites, the damage was almost entirely contained
I have a conspiracy that the US intelligent agency is trying to keep China communist because their policy is horribly inefficient, and they don't want a rival who has Taiwan's level of development but the size and resources of mainland China
~~"conspiracy"~~
Lel the truth is there is crazy fast technological development in china
There is reason why donald put tariff exactly on this sector
Also, their disregard of intellectual property
Well i think they steal less nowadays
But yeah nobody gives a fuck about patent rights over there
I would hope that China would stride to better themselves...so they would stop stealing OUR SHIT
Thats kinda their thing. One thing they have is their industrial prowess.
If some American start up makes their first prototype. SOme chinese buisnessman is already putting together the machine to make it.

Its commie mentality
You westerners dont understand
We used to have saying during comie era
Who does not steal, steal from his own family
Thats why they will agresively pursue any possible western inovation
I just hope China will become developed enough so they have stuff worth stealing for ourselves
There is good reason for a trade war; but also reasons not to
it is not a trade “war” . its how we shouldve always pursued trading. open or free trading is literally insane when youre the most “powerful” nation on earth. countries abused the US for decades now. we joke about products made in taiwan china or mexico like its a shitty product.... BECAUSE it typically is/was. we need to keep tariffs on all countries no matter what. american goods are better, we need to have a reality check when it comes to our common appliances and products. lol if you want something made from china you should have to go to china to buy it. i have no idea where we wrong. we have enough people to make products but americans are cheap and anti minimalist
if anyone is interested in a good WWII documentary and have Netflix, check out "1945: The Savage Peace." Its about how Europe basically ethnically cleansed the remaining Germans after the war. The irony is palpable but still a great watch.
To be fair, the germans have a habit of trying to destroy europe
like right now for instance
I blame Prussian autism
That is fair, but for the rest of Europe to do the same thing as the Nazis and not get stigmatized for it is pretty funny if you ask me. Its almost like that was just the way the world was and no culture was any more "evil" than any other.
also fuckin Ken Burns' Vietnam is finally a thing, and its on Netflix too. Very awesome.
I see the tariffs as being relatively benign. The tariffs on incoming goods will likely create a market within the United States. Tariffs on outgoing goods aren't nearly as concerning, either. And ultimately, mutually beneficial trade deals can be negotiated. The entire thing looks like a win-win for the US, generally, when the goal is to spend more U.S. dollars inside the actual U.S.
The more money you spend within the United States, the better it is for the United States. Imported goods are exported money.
Someone asks about Tim Pool's server. Where or how do I get a link to share/invite?
hey
link here
Thank you
@missdanger prussian autism..... they were the strongest nation on earth. led by a drug addict. the fact they were stopped is an absolute miracle. autistics could not do what they did. we barely beat them. and they were using a quarter of their armies lol autism no no no. pure professional soldierism
It was high functioning autism. They were good at waging war but didn't know when to stop.
Central Europe is very resource poor. Prussian/german strategic doctrine focused on bloody but short wars. They were incapable of sustaining any long term conflict.
