cutting it too much means you cant afford certain people or machines that are highly efficient, there is a curve where you get maximum price/performance

By the time most of the big parcel-shipping companies were created, the USPS had already been shipping letters for quite some time

privatize the post office because they should be subject to market competition just like everyone else in the organic market

i think a totally free market naturally tends towards monopolies because of economies of scale, there needs to be some method of encouraging competition in order to advance economies
