my computer crashed, and now a recording i made is entirely useless, so i did some experimenting..
.mkv is the only recording format i found that still the start of its recording when a critical failure happens, like a power loss
however i still lost 5 ish minutes
any idea how i can reduce that 5 minutes to something even smaller? the internet has been unhelpful so far (google)
maybe some of you nibbas know whats up

you can try rendering it in a video maker program, maybe it will stitch together the missing parts as it renders it?

the idea is that next time i suffer a critical failure of someking, BSOD or power outage

i dont lose hours of footage

i got it down to 5 minutes.. but id prefer even less

(also tried recovery programs, all i could find, feeding it header and ender data from a non corrupt file, splitting and recombining the data, i mean there was multiple gigs of data there, but its all useless appearently, non recoverable)

i have literally the first 2 seconds and then it doesnt do anything no matter what i try
