The same story has played out everywhere in the culture war. Creators are lazy and corrupt, throwing things in to reach quotas that their critic friends then praise, fans get annoyed at the laziness and ask for creators to be better, creators accuse the fans of just hating it because it has x,y,z people in it, fans say no, thats not it, fuck you, critic friends help creators double down, fans say fine, fuck you and take their money elsewhere. Creators are left without a job but "feeling" good about themselves
