I used to think games were art

Some are imo

but the art-snob people made me step away from that notion

My stance on it, Games can be art, just like any art form

Not every painting is a work of art

fuck it, theres a market for all of it

Art is made by the quality and feeling you get from the object in question

I think my problem with "games are art" is that it causes people to often look down upon games that aren't trying to have a higher-level meaning and just be games. They'll say Gone Home is art but something like Quake or Doom is "just a game".

i think its actually *more* pretentious to limit what you can call art, so let's just agree to disagree
