So to sum up answers to everything here; the pentagon makes most of the adminstrative regs for the military after the president sets policy, they may be in direct conflict with one another. Hold each party accountable for their own direct actions, not one for all of them.

...

Transgender issues get generalized for political gain or to prove a point instead of dealing with specific issues of each case. Sometimes it is a mental issue in one case, sometimes it is a hormonal issue to another, and in rare cases it's a biological issue (intersex).

A more valid approach would be to deal with a specific and well documented case and discuss the issues relating to that case alone.

I am on of the rare folks that is required to take OSHA and NIOSH training every year for my job. The N95 mask do not meet the govt. standards for viruses. The govt. standard minimum PPE for a virus laden environment is a non-breathable tyvek suit and a full face air purifying respirator. Just saying the OSHA regs here man.

There is only one reason I wear mask when requested;

I respect other's property rights and expect the to respect mine in the same way.

@SPRTNWRRYR1974 I was saying this in December of 2019, and I'll continue to say it.

I build clean rooms as part of my job for biological and mineral hazards.

Information is power, and the one place I agree with the horrible motto of "Power to the People" is in the disimination of factual information to the public.

I don't know why there's a health advisory against it, but using pieces of metal corrogated roofing and sunning bottles of water on it for 3 days or so is pretty common where there isn't a water supply system.

Also, the pipes in some places are incredibly toxic, so drinking strait from the tap can be hazardous even in north america

I reccomend making your own dehydrated and canned food, if you can. A lot of those brands out there are snake oil.

@SPRTNWRRYR1974 Buy a dehydrator from your local store and a pressure canner as well. You can pick up jars for canning and pickling from your local grocery store

Googling this stuff still helps too.

Having lived in a communist county for a while before now, I'd say the only difference between facism and communism is the public statement of purpose.

@TrapaholicJones Hearing protection, water filter, maybe a local map and maybe another mag would be my recommendation... what's your weight at? 30 lbs-ish, looks like.

Having a folder for city stuff is nice too. I'd probably only have one large fixed for weight.

@awesomeauthier1326 Timing/valve cover gasket leak most likely.

If you have a maintenance manual for the truck look up it's replacement process and you should see where it is. Then you should be able to follow the leak to the same location to verify it is the source.

Cheap fix if it is so, but your car will be down for 24 hours or so until the gasket maker is done setting.

...

Still only a guess, not enough info in your post to be super accurate.

@awesomeauthier1326 Is that also your steering column on the center-left side of the photo?

possible leak locations

If it's an oil pan gasket, then replacement may or may not be worth the time to replacement as it may still leak afterwards, depending on the age and make of your vehicle.

Cleaning everything as well as you can, then running the vehicle for 30 mins or so, so you can see the leak without road grit and grim is also a good way to find the leak.

@Luke14 cause smart people don't list their ARs online.

So, several of the servers I am in for games, have a mandatory "select your pronouns" process for joining.

||I just mark all the pronouns... all of them, cause I can and I don't care what people call me.||

@Luke14 I don't know what's legal where you are, or the specifics of the laws you have to deal with. However, in short, anything that is legal and you are comfortable using is better than nothing. Anything illegal and or you are NOT comfortable using is worse than nothing.

What TrapaholicJones says is true, but:

Knife fighting is not a joke, and I do not recommend it to anyone who doesn't have the training required to do it safely.

Firearms are simple point and click adventures. Knives are high-speed chess, with less forgiving results.

@SPRTNWRRYR1974 5 years plus of actuall hand to hand combat training for knive use in self-defense + knowledge of applicable laws.

Food stuffs, buy you a dehydrator and canner on amazon or elsewhere online.
Websearch on how to do it, and start preserving.

will drop some links for food stuffs in a moment

I don't know where you might find some, mine is from military personel (I was not a service member but I did recieve training), and personal contacts etc. It's know you know locally for that. Look up veteran owned gyms and studios and ask around there.

Food prep takes time, about a week. You may be SOL for that being ready by Tuesday, but the knowledge and equipment could be invaluable.

Sh*t Out of Luck

The stuff in the fridge is what you want to preserve

You might be able to do the mini-fridge and have things saved if power goes out for an extended period.

Agreed.

Alrighty then Spooky

Go by dry food goods... Instant Noodles

Good plan, but you may not be able to walk there safely

How fit are you?

How many miles a day could you walk with 40lbs on your back?

Also, do you have wet and cold weather gear?

Ok so with a bike and an injury, say 10-15 miles a day on roads, since you're in the plains.

Food and gear is the thing though

so, you're looking at a realistic 4-8 day journey.

Have them pick you up from school on Monday?

Take absences for your classes for the week?

I'd chill with your folks for the week

My wife, who does most of the canning, says this.

"For canning, the best resource is the Ball Blue Book canning guide, and your canner should have some basic directions on how/what to can. Tested recipes should be the only ones used because of the risk of botulism is very high with improperly processed canned foods.

For dehydrating food -- you can basically dehydrate anything so long as it's not too fatty. There's very little you can get wrong with dehydrating. Like, you can dehydrate spaghetti sauce and soup if you wanted to. Look up 'how to dehydrate backpacking meals' or similar keywords for putting together foods. Dehydrated foods will need to be stored well to keep them from getting soggy after its dried.

If you're getting started canning now, getting proper supplies may be difficult. Those of us already canning got started before the 'rona and supplies have been thin."

Nope, more explination, is better.

I've been out of country until about 4.5 years ago, so I've not really prepped in earnest.

But, I have good survival training, and good gear. And good friends with places to stay if things hit the fan. That's pretty much all you can do.

That, and a good "exit" plan. (getting out of the cities basically)

Farming season in Indian is mostly done for this year

but you could have stuff ready for next spring if you get seeds.

Non-perisable food stuffs!

ramen noodles, etc

canned food

Honey is a great item!

How much training or practice do you have?

Long gun then, all around, but you can't carry those around in most cities.

True...

but they do at the moment

So, the knowledge is useful

If you know a good welder, there are some options as well

Ammunition will be your issue all the time these days.

Going home for the week might be key.

have fun!

Plan a bike route

Plan to carry 5-6 days worth of food, and figure a way to get water while you travel

it's a 4-8 day trip to bike home for you by my best guess.

get a filter or some survival straws from an outdoor store

OH! Really? I thought it was 70 miles away!

Maybe if you walk without stopping

military forced marches are around 20 miles a day

25 if they push things a bit

I'm guessing 10-15 miles a day due to having to hide, move over rough ground (through trees, etc).

Yes, but plan for delays

2-3 days bikning easy

4 if you have to go slower

8 if weather slows you, bike breaks, have to hide from mobs.

carry food for 4-6 days, ration it and it'll last you til you get home.

Remember the motto "Be Prepared"

That's what this is about.

Same here. Eagle Scout gang!

I live outside a major city, I work inside the city. I carry 30lbs of "get home" gear every day these days.

I don't want to use any of it, but I want to get home if SHTF

Sounds like a good plan.

It also sounds like you've got a good idea of how to be ready. I think you'll be fine.

You too!

Glad to help!

An interesting thing about politics in the US vs. the EU is some terms are flipped.

@Luke14 Using in self defense and owning are not legally the same thing. Advising to purchase something without knowing or considering their local laws and regulations is, in layman's terms, not being a good friend.

Not as you are asking about. It describes rebellion as witchcraft in the new testament. In the old testament soothsaying (asking for wisdom from the dead) is outlawed.

Most magicians (pharaoh's court magicians) practiced soothsaying and the art of deception to perform feats of "magic."

There are no magicians throwing fireballs or shooting lightning as far as my knowledge and understanding goes.

Note: I have not read, nor am I not referencing, the apocrypha (false books), and most of the time people say the Bible confirms magic, they are referring to these books.

*The apocrypha are written by authors who either lie about their identity , have dates origin that contradict their own timeline, or contradict the cannon scripture.

All those upgrades gotta go somewhere.

Oh

just a side note for the math nerds on the Dr. Shiva video

The number one comments trying to invalidate his argument are ones saying he didn't include the graph for Biden's votes.
