man i just get cheap stuff thatll go far like big peanut butter jars, big bags of rice and beans, and instant potatoes ect. ive gotten some patriot supply things but wasnt impressed with how much i paid for pancake mix and other crap

get water filters too, allot easier than storing enough water for extended periods of time. i got a couple decent bug out bags ill post if i can figure out how to upload pics haha

ive got enough to feed my family of four for 2 monthes stuffed in one plastic bin that can fit in the bottom of your closet

open to suggestions or criticism, my bag contains:

3 knives, 1 loaded ar mag, a few vitamins, aluminum foil, life straw, freeze dried meal, 9 hour candle, cooking cup and small mil surp stove to cook with it

1 roll duct tape, 50 ft. paracord, 25 zip ties, multi tool, gloves, poncho, heat blanket, bug spray, tinder, compass, fish hook kit and 2 small spools of line

head light, 4 n95 masks, 1 roll t.p., safety glasses, thermals (live in wisconsin), 6 bic lighters, 1 wire saw, 2 bottles water, hand crank flash light and decent first aid kit

nice whats the name of it? my buddy got me a copy of the S.A.S. survival handbook last year ive been trying to read through that and remember somthing haha

@Equalibrium good idea on hearing protection and i have a local map in my other bag in car just forgot about it in there, also have big 50 state map in car, i might shed that second fixed since i added the morakniv after it good idea cause im pushin closer to 40 lbs. and i actually made a bug out ammo box seperate so thats why only 1 in b.o.b. to save weight

yeah i started prepping at 18 im now 28, this is the worst time to start, all prices are up even if u can find stuff. i alway checked the clearance isle at wal mart to find half my preps

honestly if i had no preps i would buy a gun and hope i can find someone that prepped food and not guns so i could eat. i dont know what else you could realistically do to prep in such short time

honey is one of the best food preps period, ton of uses and one spoonful is enough vitamins for one day

i got lucky my buddys mom randomly started bee keeping lol so she hooks me up with a fat honey jar everytime i come visit

ur first gun should be a pistol but its not a buyers market to say the least so it depends on ur budget which is sounding like a high point budget
