8 if weather slows you, bike breaks, have to hide from mobs.
Highway 26 runs east out of town and it'll take me to a point almost directly north of my house.
carry food for 4-6 days, ration it and it'll last you til you get home.
I don't think Indiana's going to see mob-level violence, but I will be ready. Maybe if my parent's say I can't come home I'll snag a dagger or machete and hide it until I get in my room.
Remember the motto "Be Prepared"
That's what this is about.
I'm an Eagle Scout. Of course.
Same here. Eagle Scout gang!
I'm confident I have what I need (at least to start out). It's just a matter of organizing.
Well, I've got some homework to wrap up and I need to call my mom about staying home.
I live outside a major city, I work inside the city. I carry 30lbs of "get home" gear every day these days.
I live an hour from Indy.
I don't want to use any of it, but I want to get home if SHTF
We can make it. Most of my dad's family lives spread out over my county and the one east of it.
We can pull diesel from the farm equipment and get stuff put together.
Sounds like a good plan.
It also sounds like you've got a good idea of how to be ready. I think you'll be fine.
Thanks. If you think of more tips, DM me. I found some manuals online about survival and some other stuff.
Have a good one.
You too!
I think I changed my mind. I'm not going to stay home, but I'll make sure I'm prepared to leave at a moment's notice.
I'm not in a major city, but I'm still staying out of town for awhile after the election. One of the few nice parts of having been sent to work from home because of Covid, means I could head for the lakes for a bit.
@Equalibrium basically anything is legal if you deem it legal to use (thats what the crimes act says for self defense) basically we have similar self defense and gun laws to California.
@Luke14 Using in self defense and owning are not legally the same thing. Advising to purchase something without knowing or considering their local laws and regulations is, in layman's terms, not being a good friend.
What is that squirrel tail doing
And why a hatchet and a mechete
Machete
Well i imagine the hatchet would be used to cut trees and make firewood, the squirrel thing is a decoration, and the machete idk
Got my tools prepped. Just gotta pack a survival bag in case I need to get outta dodge if Lafayette goes nuts.
Tomohawk is ultimate tool
If you want a good hawk look at two hawks
$200 for a hand forged polled hawk and belt loop+sheath
Yo i've decided I want to prep my backpack in case shit goes wild here- we live in a super liberal place
Any tips?
i feel so helped

You'll need at least one knife. Preferably a pocket sized and a machete but if you need to settle for just one go for a bowie.
You'll need a first aid kit
