Huzzah! Church of Jesus Christ do be lit

2020-07-03 16:20:46 UTC

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so I guess I rely a lot on their resources because I am familiar. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’–

2020-07-03 21:54:12 UTC

2 MREs a day for normal work and physical activity. Each one should have 1200 calories. If you plan on road marching 20 miles and also doing normal activities, 3 a day. Expect to drink up to a gallon of water or more per person, per day.

2020-07-03 21:56:36 UTC

Your bugout bag should have enough food and water for 3 days, minimum. Sleeping accommodations, basic first aid, various tools, extra ammo, etc.

2020-07-03 21:58:54 UTC

I'll post picts and a list of my bob

2020-07-03 21:59:15 UTC

I need to make a shopping/Amazon list for it for a couple friends

2020-07-04 09:19:15 UTC

This is going to sound strange... But has anyone thought about keeping a small compacted garbage bag just incase you need it to look like its trash thrown aside? Or keep a mobile battery charger and 1.5w solar panel? I peobably went overboard and my bag is light and half way done. I need to look like i'm not homeless and not hauling a ton of stuff while walking so i'm hoping someone might have the perfect look to share

2020-07-04 13:17:36 UTC

i've been thinking about getting into prepping more where should i start?

2020-07-04 13:18:17 UTC

maybe learn about freeze-drying or vacuum sealing

2020-07-04 13:19:03 UTC

if u have money to burn....build a bunker to store everything u might need and might not need but can trade for what u need

2020-07-04 13:19:27 UTC

and start learning new and old skills ....something is useful and can be traded

2020-07-04 17:17:57 UTC

I have a mobile solar charger on my backpack

2020-07-04 17:18:21 UTC

Its just ment for small things. Phone, iPod, rechargeable flashlight.

2020-07-04 17:18:54 UTC

It just clips on the oitside of my bag and charges when I walk

2020-07-04 17:19:45 UTC

nice

2020-07-04 17:22:00 UTC

I'll post my bag and supplies in here soon. Just been too busy to bust it out. Lol

2020-07-04 21:27:25 UTC

2020-07-04 21:27:38 UTC

This is what i followed

2020-07-04 21:36:38 UTC

for me i got the bag first and then tools/ shelter. Amazon has some pretty good deals

2020-07-04 21:37:11 UTC

rechargable/ solar stuff are the best

2020-07-04 22:15:01 UTC

Do you recommend making a bug out bag, considering the current circumstances?

2020-07-05 03:08:08 UTC

Who wants to see my purse EDC? Lol

2020-07-05 17:02:34 UTC

Does a "bug out" make sense in your situation? Does "bugging in"? Do you have a get home kit in your car? Where would you bug out to? Lots of questions you need to ask yourself.

2020-07-05 17:03:05 UTC

Bugging out means packing up and heading to the boonies

2020-07-05 17:12:19 UTC

Yeap. And I always have my bob in my truck.

2020-07-05 17:12:26 UTC

Comes in handy a lot actually.

2020-07-05 20:20:46 UTC

> Bugging out means packing up and heading to the boonies
@KumquatLord Ehhh, it means packing up and heading elsewhere. Just "the boonies" isn't really a destination, and living off the land is a LOT harder than a lot of people think it is.

2020-07-08 23:04:35 UTC

2020-07-08 23:14:57 UTC

Theyre too bulky for a bob

2020-07-08 23:16:46 UTC

Nice

2020-07-08 23:17:32 UTC

Picts!

2020-07-08 23:19:06 UTC

I was just doing that to mine. Lol.

2020-07-08 23:43:08 UTC

Yeah, i don't really use things that expire... never know when ill forget about replacing it. ๐Ÿคฃ

2020-07-08 23:47:49 UTC

My next purchase is a small camping tent and small sleeping bag. And a gas mask.

2020-07-08 23:48:20 UTC

Tac bivy is good and all... but only for emergencies

2020-07-08 23:53:51 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/728492542177312838/730575731985219676/20200708_170508.jpg

2020-07-09 00:11:42 UTC

I have vodka for 2 reasons. Its boring alone in the woods. And it can be traded.

2020-07-09 00:12:00 UTC

Its a good antiseptic too.

2020-07-09 00:12:19 UTC

And the bottle can be used for water

2020-07-09 00:12:23 UTC

Or boiling purposes

2020-07-09 00:12:52 UTC

Yeah. I wana get a bunch of 1gram and half oz gold chips

2020-07-09 00:19:00 UTC

I always have my bob in my truck

2020-07-09 00:27:31 UTC

Ahhh

2020-07-09 00:27:54 UTC

Yeah, I live in oregon out in the country.

2020-07-09 00:28:20 UTC

I always carry it, never know when I'm gonna break down or get stuck or injured or someone else ya know.

2020-07-09 00:31:55 UTC

I dont have a change of clothes in my bag. But I live in Oregon... we all carry extra clothes either on us or with us. Every day. Lol

2020-07-09 00:33:03 UTC

The weather here changes so much and its such a diverse landscape. The only time you dont have extra clothing is mid summer.

2020-07-09 00:37:21 UTC

Or good. Depending on your point of view

2020-07-09 00:37:41 UTC

I have since dismantled my bug out bag. I have a bug out vehicle. I chose a minivan. Took a hint from the van dwellers and realized that I can have all the modern commodities minus a bathroom and be able to move it anywhere in the country, in the matter of hours. 30mpg allows for 500 miles on one tank. Loaded with all my gear, I can pack 1,000 pounds of extras.

2020-07-09 00:38:01 UTC

I've been looking into doing that

2020-07-09 00:38:21 UTC

And a bugout/camping trailer

2020-07-09 00:38:32 UTC

You can go 20 miles a day on foot, or 1,000 miles a day in a car.

2020-07-09 00:38:34 UTC

Just to haul tents and supplies and shit

2020-07-09 00:38:54 UTC

Yup. I see it as a more sustainable prepping system

2020-07-09 00:39:11 UTC

For long term GOOD scenarios

2020-07-09 00:39:28 UTC

GOOD = Get Out Of Dodge.

2020-07-09 00:40:48 UTC

My diesel heater is in my cart along with 2 200 watt solar panels, 2 100ah batteries, a solar charger, a fridge with freezer, microwave, etc. Im decking this puppy out

2020-07-09 00:45:20 UTC

Picts!@Ironman

2020-07-09 00:47:39 UTC

Ill be posting a build log. Trust me.

@Deleted User Inside the van is my TA50. At any point I can dismount and deploy. Mormon style.

2020-07-09 00:49:05 UTC

Been hunting, camping, and fishing since I was old enough to walk. My dad taught me everything from snare traps to how to cook fish over an open fire.

2020-07-09 00:51:22 UTC

Theres a reason I live in missouri. Used to live in Utah.

2020-07-09 00:51:53 UTC

Utah is fun and all but it really lacks wild edible plants.

2020-07-09 00:52:26 UTC

I dont remember the manual codes. Been out since 2009

2020-07-09 00:54:27 UTC

This is the perfect place. Wild blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, etc. Mushrooms everywhere (just go for morels, hen of the woods, and oysters, easy to identify and almost no poisonous lookalikes)

2020-07-09 00:55:29 UTC

And everyone is a farmer around here so there is livestock and gardens to pilfer from if need be

2020-07-09 00:56:39 UTC

Boxer and snapper turtles are edible, but Id space them out. Turtles can eat really toxic stuff.

2020-07-09 00:56:56 UTC

Plenty of bullfrogs for frog legs, rabbits, coons, possums, etc.

2020-07-09 00:57:17 UTC

Every river has catfish too.

2020-07-09 00:57:26 UTC

So much food its incredible

2020-07-09 00:58:09 UTC

In utah its sagebrush as far as the eye can see. Very few rivers. And jackrabbits that have parasites and rocky mountain fever.

2020-07-09 00:58:28 UTC

Mercury is a problem...

2020-07-09 00:59:19 UTC

Yup. They are a winter game. Oh and the turkeys around here are nuts. They are everywhere. And deer too. Never seen so many
