I use a Logitech G502
I use to use a red dragon and a Chinese mouse called โmazerโ
They both eventually broke down on me
If you donโt do too much gaming, those ergonomic mouses look pretty good
If anyone has the OnePlus 6 here, how is it?
Iโm not thinking of getting it since I got the iPhone X. But OnePlus seemed to get everything right this time around.
The OP6 doesnโt have OIS?
They had that in the OnePlus One
HDR monitor
Everything looks so good now
While this isnโt chink stuff, the Dell S2418HN is a really good monitor that you can get for under or around $100 on eBay.
1080p 24โ, small bezels, IPS and HDR10.
I got mine for $90 and prefer it over a 4K TN panel I use to have
Generally how well do Xiaomi phones work with US carriers? Like do they lack the necessary bands that towers use here?
@turnerturing If it's one of the bigger Chinatowns with a marketplace, it probably was sold within that Chinatown by someone who sells toys or maybe media stuff.
Their's a bunch of 1000in1 gaming consoles that are sold in person in places that like but not online
Google has done nothing in recent times to differentiate the android experience on tablets.
If you want to browse and watch videos on a bigger screen, I guess get one.
For $80 you probably can get a windows 10 tablet, but you have to do a bunch of tweaks to get it running smooth.
@Deleted User Replying to your message from yesterday. I think youโre better off getting a 1st party wiimote for Dolphin.
3rd parties are extremely hard to connect usually
Some wonโt connect at all
If I'm not mistaken, the windows logo on windows tablets is a capacitive back button
Basically the MS Surface started it, and other windows tablets copied
Sandisk 128GB Ultra MicroSD $27.89:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820173362 w/ EMCPXEP28
Although UHS-1, works fine with 1080p dash cams, basic phone storage and home security cams.
200GB is $49.49
Yeah, but it really depends on what you use your phone for. If you use it for basic stuff like social media, taking pictures, watching videos. The Mi A2 should do you fine.
The Pocophone obviously would be more future proof though and hopefully has better update or community support.
Google for what I know is mostly in charge for the Mi A2โs software through the Android One program but we know nothing about any of them getting the android 9.0 update.
@๐๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ Yeah Iโm from the US, have no idea if it works outside
I took a gamble with them at a NewEgg sale 3ish years ago, and they still hold up today because the built quality is actually not bad.
It should do you fine, but a lot better choices out there.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 typically is around $210. This is better than the Mate SE in all aspects.
I would do it through an eBay seller.
People import them and sell them
You have ebay buyer protection if anything goes wrong.
My friend got his Mi A2 for $230 and it shipped from NJ.
And yeah it works with ATT.
It was designed for markets outside of China.
And has 2 years of update support from google through the Android One program.
Also the issue I have with phones like the Mate SE, it still uses Micro USB which tends to weaken over time and you have to come up with dumb ways to keep it charging.
USB C is a huge improvement and youโll never have an issue with the port breaking or something.
You also gotta look at the downside of Chinese phones. Like make sure you got a decent case and tempered glass because youโre prob not getting a replacement or if you do itโll take like 3 months at least.
Iโm surprised, when I had my OnePlus One, the micro USB port was noticeably becoming loose around 4 month in.
Also I have 2 Xbox One controllers that canโt even keep a micro usb cable in anymore.
I typically handle my devices with decent care, I think my issues come from normal wear over time with micro usb.
Mi A2 has a better SoC, and camera. The P20 lite is probably better for aesthetics haha.
Itโs ok, at the end of the day youโll always be supporting Shenzhen because everything is made there from Foxconn.
Does anyone even buy Moto phones anymore ever since Lenovo bought them out?
Like with all the advertisements of the Moto Z in the US, Iโve never seen one person with it.
Maybe itโs their association with Amazon being listed as โPrimeโ phones.
Is their a cheap way to order off of taobao?
I heard you have to go through an agent, and they charge you a crazy amount for fulfilling an order depending on weight.
I could be wrong, but I remember trying to buy replacement shoe laces that cost $2 for Ultra Boost. But cost like $9 if fulfilled through an agent.
I should prob clarify, $9 is not expensive but kinda sucks when all of that goes to shipping. Probably should just do large orders if I ever buy though taobao.
@GRUMPYGAMER You can get something that looks close, but not feel close if that's an issue for you.
@GRUMPYGAMER Also well done shoe replicas surprisingly cost a lot, so keep that in mind.
I'm talking $100+ for an accurate replica.
Has anyone bought one of those Chinese Android head unit for their car?
AirDots are cheap in comparison to AirPods
$30 compared to I think $150
If they have 1More drivers in them, Iโll definitely grab some.
They should retail for $30 MSRP, probably GearBest will mark them up for a bit more
Just ordered the AirDots off of the dresslily site.
As long as it has ok sound and does its function Iโll be satisfied
For sure, I can get ahold of some AirPods to compare them with too
And no $30 usd
You have to apply the coupon โDEALH11Tโ at checkout @Julian
Also if anyone is wondering, coupon stacking doesnโt work on Dresslily. So the 15% off at sign up doesnโt work with other promos.
How much do you have to spend for both?
Theirs some pretty good deals on used GPUโs right now.
Like a GTX 1070 for a bit above $200.
Or GTX 1060 3GB for under $150.
Thatโs a really good deal.
Me personally, I would get the GPU and a $50 headphones. Probably SHP8500s if you can deal with open style head phones.
Just buy some plants
Is ordering directly off of TaoBao worth saving a few $$$.
I sadly donโt know Chinese, probably should just stick with Superbuy.
I only got interested in TaoBao because of the Desktop accessories they have that arenโt available anywhere else. Like custom PSU wires and all.
So in terms of exclusive items, going through an agent is probably the best option for me then
@toots123 yeah, Iโll probably end up buying more basic/cheaper things directly and more expensive things through an agent. Like Iโm trying to buy a PC case that you need to talk directly to the seller for customization since they laser cut patterns and designs on the case.
@Geartooth I donโt want to risk anything that is a customized order to be messed up through a mistranslation through google translate.
Ooo dang :0
Native? Or did you learn it later on?
Iโm half Chinese, but was born in the US and parents were also born here. So I never learned it
Just live anywhere up north
The US has pretty much the same weather in the northern areas
Right now Iโm just in the process of making designs for the case, Iโm planning to add a USB C and a 3.5mm jack cut outs for the front, possibly a lighted up frosted acrylic logo. The size is 4.6 Liters which you canโt get anywhere else.
If I have any problems, Iโll for sure ask you. Thanks man.
I just like the aesthetic of C since itโs minimalistic.
The case is pretty small, so having the front ports be minimalistic is ideal.
Has anyone tried or know if it's possible for AliExpress to accept paypal credit?
That makes more sense I guess that it's all seller based. I'm just trying to pay with paypal credit for a seller that does accept paypal. But the option is greyed out.
Paypal credit allows you to pay it off for 6 months with no fees.
It's $400.
And trying to build up credit right now
It does but I'm 18 and just starting all this stuff out.
And probably going to get an apartment for college to save money, in comparison to a dorm which good credit is generally needed.
@Matthew Yeah, I'm planning to get one and doing this definitely. Paypal credit was the only place that accepted me years ago before turning 18 somehow.
Yeah, in comparison Paypal Credit isn't so bad. I think it's a 19% APR, but you can avoid that generally by choosing a financing option of paying within that 6 months.
