2018-10-08 01:11:43 UTC

2018-10-08 04:25:05 UTC

buying a Huawei Mate SE how fucked am I?

2018-10-08 04:37:06 UTC

It should do you fine, but a lot better choices out there.

2018-10-08 04:39:32 UTC

The Xiaomi Mi A2 typically is around $210. This is better than the Mate SE in all aspects.

2018-10-08 04:48:17 UTC

damn that is a low price

2018-10-08 04:48:29 UTC

wary about making a large important purchase like this through ali though

2018-10-08 04:48:53 UTC

I would do it through an eBay seller.

2018-10-08 04:49:03 UTC

People import them and sell them

2018-10-08 04:49:16 UTC

You have ebay buyer protection if anything goes wrong.

2018-10-08 04:49:35 UTC

will it work on at&t?

2018-10-08 04:49:48 UTC

My friend got his Mi A2 for $230 and it shipped from NJ.

2018-10-08 04:50:11 UTC

And yeah it works with ATT.

2018-10-08 04:50:45 UTC

It was designed for markets outside of China.

2018-10-08 04:51:08 UTC

And has 2 years of update support from google through the Android One program.

2018-10-08 04:53:30 UTC

May be buying this just for the camera alone, it's pretty impressive

2018-10-08 04:55:47 UTC

Also the issue I have with phones like the Mate SE, it still uses Micro USB which tends to weaken over time and you have to come up with dumb ways to keep it charging.

2018-10-08 04:57:14 UTC

USB C is a huge improvement and you’ll never have an issue with the port breaking or something.

2018-10-08 05:02:05 UTC

You also gotta look at the downside of Chinese phones. Like make sure you got a decent case and tempered glass because you’re prob not getting a replacement or if you do it’ll take like 3 months at least.

2018-10-08 05:06:43 UTC

for the micro usb thing, you can always get a magnetic cable so it doesn't wear out, although just how much of an issue is it? my 1+1 is nearing on 4 years now and no problems with the port itself

2018-10-08 05:10:44 UTC

Are there any good fans around any more?

2018-10-08 05:12:31 UTC

I’m surprised, when I had my OnePlus One, the micro USB port was noticeably becoming loose around 4 month in.

2018-10-08 05:14:37 UTC

Also I have 2 Xbox One controllers that can’t even keep a micro usb cable in anymore.

2018-10-08 05:16:10 UTC

🤔 manufacturing quality can vary a bit, although the obvious thought is that you're the common denominator here. drunken plugging?

2018-10-08 05:17:44 UTC

ah well, it doesn't really matter either way. something for 10032 to think about if he has issues with microusb. he can try grabbing the wsken mini 2 or something
