@Yusa You mean scientists?
Are you telling me science is wrong?
Scientists say that climate change is an emergency so that's what the democrats are saying.
Because the scientific method is a beautiful thing that is completly unbiased
They're not out there to try to prove anything, they're out there to find answers.
That's a skeptic article that i've already read and critisized in the past
Thanks but climate change is an emergency and you should be afraid.
97% of scientific studies say so.
If you want me to link you to a video gimmie one second
@Yusa Don't take my word for it, do your reasarch and keep an open mind.
You come up to your own conclusion
but you can keep watching fox news if you want
@Yusa Do i really need to explain something so simple? If you actually did your research from multiple bipartisan sources you would know.
in fact most sources in general
You're in the minority.
If you want to deny science go ahead.
Your words aren't going to stop anyone.
For one thing the earth is heating up so bad that it's causing the ice caps to melt which is causing rising sea levels that cause catastrophic hurricanes that are deadly beyond belief which rips up red states like florida that you love so much. There are other affects too. The carbon dioxide that you are breathing in right now causes cancer and if you live in a city your chances of dying from cancer are significantly higher.
@Yusa you have no idea what climate means
@Yusa climate is the span of the temperature of the earth over thousands of years not hundreds of years or even decades.
if you want to look at the average temperature of the earth over 500 years you will understand what I'm saying
that's climate
do your research
I'm pretty sure that never hapened
Trump should not have launched that missile without congress approval.
It's literally not legal to do so
But trump gets away with it because he is above the law
nonetheless it's not right to just bomb someone who you think poses a threat
Why are you arguing if you don't even know who he bombed?
How could you possibly stand your ground in your conclusion when you don't even understand it??
@Holy Knight King ๐ Actually we can control it. The more the world talks about a subject, the more people are motivated to make change and the more ideas get spread around for better solutions. If you don't talk about the problem, the problem will never be solved.
I mean we can't really control things like racism and crime but does that mean we should just stop talking about those subjects because we can't control them? If anything you have plenty of control over the health of the earth because there are things you can do in your daily life to lower your carbon footprint.
I have a deep fear that no one really cares enough about the climate to make change. It is a subject I am heavily interested in.
It's not just about climate though, it's also about health. It's not healthy to breathe in nitrogen dioxide and carbon dioxide all the time and people in big cities are surrounded by so much of it.
Well then why is it that people are already dying from pollution-related issues in first-world countries like the US?
There are still areas in the US that are badly affected by the pollution levels around them. For example, communities that are located next to coal-fired power plants. I understand that there are pollution hot spots in every country.
However we should be worried about China as well. China puts up eleven coal-fired power plants every month.
It's very alarming but the good news is that the government of china is starting to take note of the highly-polluted areas of china.
The chinese government literally shut down their power plants when Donald Trump was visiting which caused people to lose power for a few hours.
At least the power plants in the area he was visiting.
The president's approval rating usually goes up in emergency situations like the one we are in right now.
Boy I got God's phone number.
I talk to him every day.
Well *some* of them will
Personally I am not a Trump supporter but when he does something I agree with I'm not afraid to admit it.
Most people should be that way but some people just won't admit when Trump does something right which does irritate me.
But on the flipside it irritates me when people defend every single thing Trump does. I understand that you support him but supporting a politician doesn't mean you need to agree with everything he/she does. It's important to make sure you criticize politicians when they do something wrong because politicians aren't idols and they should never be looked at that way.
The holy knight kind is a meme machine today it's beautiful.
@AngloAmericanGod Even if that is true the Repubicans are trying to guarantee themselves power for the next decade as well. The Republicans also hate any democract who gets elected so I don't understand what you are trying to prove.
ehh
I personally don't care for bernie or biden.
I would feel more comfortable with Joe Biden in office because I feel like Bernie is a little too socialist for me. However Bernie is still better than Trump so It doesn't really matter to me who the democratic nominee is.
I feel like Biden would have a better chance of winning though.
I'm sorry but screaming "Trump 2020" Isn't going to help anything. If you want to win me over please tell me why it is you think I should vote for Trump.
@Ziggy I'm not trying to win you over then. I simply want to know why it is you support Trump. I'm all ears.
lmao what
There were so many candidates it was hard to wrap your head around.
I still dont understand why it is we are chosing between biden and sanders. There has to be better politicans out there
@nitrousgames69 Lmao its called "demoratic socialism" because it *is* a less extreme version of socialism.
Honestly I don't think his approval rating is going to tank through this event. Trump voters stand by Trump no matter what it is he does like he is their father and nothing we can do is going to change that.
Thank you @Lamon. The best thing any of us can do right now to help the environment is change our diets away from red meat. Sadly most people don't want to give up their hamburgers and steak and fish dinners. Sadly I see so many people in this channel that don't seem to understand the severity of the situation.
Nobody likes change though and I admit it was a little difficult for me to stop eating red meats but I haven't had any kind of red meat for almost a year now and I'm doing just fine.
If anything I'm doing better. Red meats are terrible for your stomach lining and too much red meat will put significant strain on your digestive system leading to problems like diverticulitis.
Just move to denmark.
Trump voters seem to look at politics as a team sport like football. I feel like they think that they can't disrespect their sports team (in this case Trump).
@Lamon People do tend to look at vegetarians and vegans in the wrong way and highly-processed foods dominate our diets. Reducing unhealthy and environmentally damaging foods is going to be a challenge for many reasons. The big problem is that most politicians don't seem to care about the obesity problem in America but I can understand why; Forcing people to eat something that is healthy *is* technically infringing on human rights. However, *helping* people realize what they are eating is unhealthy is not. I don't think that a sugar tax is the right way to go but better educating children is a definite step in the right direction towards helping people make the right choice when it comes to their eating habits and destroying the beta stigma of having a healthier diet. A government-developed "health score" that would be required to be put on food products could help as long as it's a simple scale that everyone can understand *could* help but at the same time people eat the thinks they eat knowing that they are unhealthy.
In my opinion going full vegetarian isn't the best route if what you're looking for is a healthy diet. A diet that includes white meats will give you the nutrition your body needs without the health and environmental problems of red meats.
Jesus someone who actually agrees with me for once. I don't come across that very often especially in <#518779466512596992>
No one ever tried to stop you, I literally just said that forcing people to eat something that is healthy is infringing on human rights.
However heathier, cheaper, safer, and more environmentally friendly meat alternatives are coming for your precious meat. I know it might sound scary that your meat is going to be replaced by impossible foods which taste exactly the same (in some cases even better) while being healthier and more environmentally friendly than traditional meat, but lab-grown and plant-based alternatives are going to become more profitable to make and *will* phase out traditional meat in the future.
Just like electric cars and solar energy the price of meat alternatives will go down.
Hopefully they will go down sooner rather than later.
Regardless of policy he is not fit to be president. The president of the united states was elected without any political experience. It's like throwing a kid on a bycicle without training wheels.
True Although it is easier to trust someone with some political experience.
Exaclty.
That part should definetly scare you.
Democracy needs to die?
It's certainly better than communism. No governmental system is going to be perfect.
I mean europe seems to be doing better than we are.
Maybe it's *our* government that needs to be overhauled to comply with modern times.
what? Every plantation in america *had* to have slaves so how can you say slavery wasn't popular?
yes but there was a high percentage of slaves because one farmer owned hundreds of saves.
Well then who is going to run the country?
Humans are imperfect. If you can find a perfect system that benefits everyone and doesn't leave anyone else behind then I want to see it.
I agree that conservatives need to adapt but "adapting" doesn't mean throwing democracy out the window.
See this is exactly what I was talking about.
I don't blame them lmao.
Ok sure.
One: he is a businessman, not a politician, he has proven repeatedly he wants to run the country like a buisnessman. Two: He doesn't believe in science or the scientific method--he just makes shit up in his head and calls it "scientific fact" like climate change being a hoax from china to starve the US economy Three: He has shown repeatedly that he could be colluding with the Russian government Four: because he is a narcassict that only cares about himself and power And Five: His is unintellectual beyond belief. Also for all the people who are complaining about how long it is taking me to think up some answers you guys do realize that it is better to take a second to think instead of rushing out a half-baked response, right?
My source? Do you need a source to have an opinion? Also I'm a centerist before you start screaming liberal. I get my news from many different sources yes including CNN but also fox news and other right-wing media outlets.
Thanks to obama recovering the economy trump inherited
I'm still waiting on that fact check so I wouldn't say it's false before actually fact-checking it.
Why are you bringing up the democratic party?
You don't need to prove to me that the democratic party is corrupt. I believe both parties are corrupt.
They all are in it for the wrong reasons.
My proof is that siding with one party means you can't develop an opinion of your own. You just follow what everyone else on said party believes.
As long as you are willing to have outside opinions I don't see an issue with siding to one party or the other.
But when I see Trump voters that won't say a bad damn thing about him it gets on my nerves. For exmple I agree with trump that we need to get out of the middle east and I also agree with how he is dealing with china.
Am i a boy or a helicopter?
