Why

2020-03-25 11:40:07 UTC

Climate issues?

2020-03-25 11:40:17 UTC

Just accept the fact you can't control it

2020-03-25 11:40:21 UTC

Smh

2020-03-25 13:24:25 UTC

@Holy Knight King 👑 Actually we can control it. The more the world talks about a subject, the more people are motivated to make change and the more ideas get spread around for better solutions. If you don't talk about the problem, the problem will never be solved.

2020-03-25 13:25:45 UTC

who cares abt it

2020-03-25 13:26:02 UTC

I mean we can't really control things like racism and crime but does that mean we should just stop talking about those subjects because we can't control them? If anything you have plenty of control over the health of the earth because there are things you can do in your daily life to lower your carbon footprint.

2020-03-25 13:26:18 UTC

it's like a functionally irrelevant issue

2020-03-25 13:26:32 UTC

if it doesn't exist we should do the same thing we would if it does

2020-03-25 13:27:38 UTC

I have a deep fear that no one really cares enough about the climate to make change. It is a subject I am heavily interested in.

2020-03-25 13:30:22 UTC

It's not just about climate though, it's also about health. It's not healthy to breathe in nitrogen dioxide and carbon dioxide all the time and people in big cities are surrounded by so much of it.

2020-03-25 13:30:40 UTC

we always breathe carbon dioxide

2020-03-25 13:30:40 UTC

In first world countries that isn't true.

2020-03-25 13:30:47 UTC

Most cities have small levels.

2020-03-25 13:30:50 UTC

yeah

2020-03-25 13:31:28 UTC

no2 isnt good but at the levels rn in the US espcially its not really that bad

2020-03-25 13:31:45 UTC

Well then why is it that people are already dying from pollution-related issues in first-world countries like the US?

2020-03-25 13:31:54 UTC

These cases are rare.

2020-03-25 13:31:59 UTC

Normally workers in high pollution areas.

2020-03-25 13:33:26 UTC

There are still areas in the US that are badly affected by the pollution levels around them. For example, communities that are located next to coal-fired power plants. I understand that there are pollution hot spots in every country.

2020-03-25 13:33:48 UTC

Now naturally you're not going to do well there

2020-03-25 13:34:00 UTC

However we should be worried about China as well. China puts up eleven coal-fired power plants every month.

2020-03-25 13:34:25 UTC

Yes true, they subsidise coal A LOT.

2020-03-25 13:34:30 UTC

Those have to end

2020-03-25 13:35:23 UTC

It's very alarming but the good news is that the government of china is starting to take note of the highly-polluted areas of china.

2020-03-25 13:36:40 UTC

The chinese government literally shut down their power plants when Donald Trump was visiting which caused people to lose power for a few hours.

2020-03-25 13:37:07 UTC

At least the power plants in the area he was visiting.

2020-03-26 08:51:33 UTC

tons of people are freaking out during the quarantines, largely women

2020-03-26 08:51:49 UTC

they have developed little to no hobbies so they have nothing to do

2020-03-26 13:33:34 UTC

This whole thing makes me miss Hillary

2020-03-26 19:04:13 UTC

deaths will skyrocket

2020-03-26 21:44:17 UTC

imagine your life being so completely defined by your job that a little time off in your house makes your head explode

2020-03-26 22:08:39 UTC

no way there are actually people who don't accept the fact of global warming or even worse climate change.

2020-03-26 22:17:36 UTC

nobody gives a fuck

2020-03-26 22:17:48 UTC

Oo-

2020-03-26 22:17:57 UTC

things like that should be the least of your concerns

2020-03-26 22:18:04 UTC

there are much more important issues out there

2020-03-26 22:18:15 UTC

you gonna give a fuck when your kids can’t even breathe later on in the future
