Im might tpk next session i dm. My players have gotten themselves stuck in a dungeon with only one practical entrance (with their skill sets). And a cult of elemental worshipping wizards know this. So im having the cult set up what is basically a hallway of hell. Air wizards casting gust to push and blow away smoke clouds. Water wizards casting sleet storm to prevent longer range combat. Earth wizards who made this hallway difficult terrain casting acid arrow. And fire wizards mostly casting firebolt and cone of fire. But big daddy cult man casts fireballs and wall of flame.

How fucked are they?

The halway is about 175ft

And ranges between 15 to 10 feet wide

No im just doing what a smart and tactful group of wizards who want to kill the party will do

So... players made a deal with wolfshaw (an actual devil and players knew that). Get an artifact, bring it to him. Players did. Now river has stopped flowing. And wolfshaw has consumed the artifact
