every single unit feels like trash even at high level, archers are broken and overpowered, and infantry feels useless and dies en masse

I can't claim to have a favorite paradox game since I hate them all equally and I've spent an equal amount of my life on them

CK2 isn't worth it

I have 900 hours in CK2 and I can tell you that the game becomes extremely monotonous

EU4 is much more engaging tbh

because at least I can call my colonies "Sandnigger land"

I played imperator rome pirated when it came out and had a blast with shitposting in the game, but it just reminds me of EU4 but without the ability to oppress minorities for spices

best part of EU4 is the reformation and MEIOU since I get to hold the line as the only german catholic nation

CK2 goes way off the charts past 100+ years, and Imperator Rome just doesn't fufill anything like the Trimuvirates or aynthing
