For instance why does scripture say praying with others is more effective. What constitutes a prayer? Is there a measure or scale of focus? Is mental focus a requirement for everyone of prayer? Can prayer be a physical thing? Etc
There are many answers. Both profound and simple on the subject but everyone seems content in sticking with a formula someone else gave them then doing it ad nauseum. But I want more than prayer. I want a response. I want to commune with God not just throw intent and will to the wind hoping it sticks. God is all powerful and it feels like we can do better than message in a bottle.
For instance Eastern religions which have prayer wheels that have prayers pre-written on them and you use your will and intent and focus by spinning the wheel not necessarily repeating it but you are putting your physical effort into a mental exercise therefore you are saying the prayer.
I have many questions that prevent me from following him fully. Trusting him. I have trust issues. So from that standpoint I guess you could say but I'm trying to satisfy my own needs.
I would say unless you go into it in a cleanse state in an exercise or protected area then no I wouldn't do that and that seems like a lot of hassle for an acid trip

Many of them are very educated in the faith. Even though they are Sola scriptura they can answer many questions. but once you get into practical application of the faith that's where you get into the weeds with him. They are not a very broad Faith but they are deep. that lack and breath is what is the problem and gets them into trouble. it's almost like if they actually read scripture and understood that when the apostle said trust in anything that we write to you or say to you that they should have listened.
