Conflating the propaganda of practical politics with Black Sun/Eclipse phenomenon has some aesthetic appeal to our inside audience, but will be confusing to normies, so I suggest we not mix the two genres for public consumption.

I'm on the brink of plopping down $500 - $600 on banner related tools and materials for Operation Eclipse and I've had some trepidations with regard to the type of message I'll be investing in and whether or not I'm going to be getting enough pluck for my bucks.

To be honest, and I'm as responsible for this as much as anyone else, this whole eclipse activism seems very nebulous to me. I can't quite get my head around it with any concision and therefore I don't even know how we could go about getting our shit together for it.

I want to squat all night near an overpass in the area where eclipse path crosses I-5. Hit the overpass under the green light of morning star and play the invocation over my truck mounted/gas generator powered public address system and begin the demonstration as the sun rises.

Experience from our Corvallis "New Sheriff" operation leads me to believe the "Eclipse Israeli Apartheid" message is perfect for our purpose of pointing the finger at jews but still being seen as the righteous element by many on the left. Only the jews will be against us, and that is great.

All accommodations have been booked for at least a year in advance. Formal campsites included.

We're expecting millions of Commiefornians and Hyperboregonians to converge on the state, most of them in the I-5 corridor. This will severely hinder travel on major roads likely beginning at least 24 hours in advance of the eclipse, but also represents an unprecedented propaganda opportunity.

I very much like the idea of blitzing the media in advance, because they will have an awkward period of nothing notable to report on while everyone is preparing for the eclipse.

As for ourselves, setting up at an informal site in the Coast Range should afford excellent views, camping opportunities, and relative solitude.

Proposed OOP:
1) persons leave Fri or Sat from their respective locations and gather at predetermined spots on the I-5, north and south of the path, to engage in overpass activities.
2) after an appropriate amount of flaggotry, the banner parties pack up and retire to the woods for sonnenrad celebrations, where those who arrived at camp earlier than them will have scouted excellent spots.
3) everyone who can stay until Monday gets a primo view of the eclipse that morning, then braves the clogged highways in their quest to return home.

Anywhere banners can be dropped with in relatively close proximity to the high traffic areas which will be near the path of totality. Leading up to Monday morning. I propose that the actual eclipse will be spent at the campsite bc everyone will be looking up & already be in place, our activism should be aimed at catching them enroute to their location on the weekend before the viewing & as they leave. Managed facilities will be full & expensive, I look forward to some local knowledge here. I think anything near the path of totality & I-5 (high probability of over passes to work with) will suit our needs.

Right now I'm motivated to see if I can inspire the cooperation of enough energy and talent to pull off some kind of meaningful activism by and before The Eclipse. It isn't easy on account of my low energy level and the amount of other mundane shit that needs done and that I continually ignore because activism (including my music) is what makes my life feel most like it's worth living. If and when @My Name Is Hate and @seapea are available and willing to visit me and give me a hand with any and all of this stuff, it can and will be greatly appreciated and should increase the odds of our being able to produce some meaningful activism.

Inasmuch as a solar eclipse is a temporary blackening of the golden sun, we will use it to metaphorically invoke The Reich of the Black Sun. Eclipse Banner Operations: This Sunday. The Portland crew is organized and ready to go. The Central crew is also ready to go. The Southern crew- I have just spread the word to (they should be able to pull something off as well). If there are any guys up in Washington that want to get in on this that would be excellent. Having 4 banner displays all on the same day, same freeway corridor, spanning across two states will be a win. Displays will be done in the afternoon hours, location chosen by each group, do not need to share your locations (private in group messages to further organize are good habit to get in). Have someone take a photo of the banner display as soon as it is up. Photos should be emailed to Willamette Weekly/other local news outlets from a fake email (ex: [email protected]), make a short sob story about how you saw the banner and it made you afraid to live in Oregon or whatever.
