2017-09-16 04:00:33 UTC

maybe was an indicator for your rationalist curse at that time

2017-09-16 04:00:34 UTC

Oh.

2017-09-16 04:00:51 UTC

Thanks, doctor.

2017-09-16 04:01:03 UTC

call me freud

2017-09-16 04:01:28 UTC

Brb. Might go grab some alcohol beverages.

2017-09-16 04:01:46 UTC

alright, i might be leaving in 30 minutes or so

2017-09-16 04:01:53 UTC

Alright.

2017-09-16 04:01:56 UTC

Thanks for the chat.

2017-09-16 04:02:00 UTC

We covered a lot of ground.

2017-09-16 04:02:57 UTC

are you in other relevant servers?

2017-09-16 04:03:11 UTC

and what happened to our gorgeous agrarian cause, just noticed?

2017-09-16 04:05:11 UTC

We lost key investors.

2017-09-16 04:07:44 UTC

In other words, it was a parody which was born from cynicism with political causes in general, and an experiment to see what it would be like to create a legitimate political ideology from scratch.

2017-09-16 04:07:44 UTC

Hi kids.

2017-09-16 04:07:47 UTC

Is this legit?

2017-09-16 04:08:04 UTC

Turns out it is really easy to convince people you are legit.

2017-09-16 04:09:00 UTC

I'm really desperate to get involved in 'Murrica. I think I've been here before, but I still have hope.

2017-09-16 04:09:27 UTC

I'm heading out. Someone else can field this one.

2017-09-16 04:09:33 UTC

Ciao

2017-09-16 04:10:01 UTC

Anyway, mainboard leftypol pisses me off how little there seems to be capacity to organize.

2017-09-16 04:38:38 UTC

What kind of lefty are you first? @JonnyWhatsit

2017-09-16 04:38:53 UTC

Georgist.

2017-09-16 04:40:12 UTC

Oh boy.

2017-09-16 04:40:30 UTC

Is that an issue?

2017-09-16 04:42:14 UTC

You'd be the first that I know of. I will hold my tongue on the rest.

2017-09-16 04:42:24 UTC

Yay.

2017-09-16 04:48:13 UTC

So basically you're just a liberal reformist? @JonnyWhatsit

2017-09-16 04:50:01 UTC

Still less capitalist than SocDems.

2017-09-16 04:52:08 UTC

I see establishing the land and its uses as a public resource as extremely radical reform - and acknowledge that it's unlikely to be readily allowed by moneyed interests who profit off of land ownership and exploitation.

2017-09-16 04:52:45 UTC

I'm still interning in George, but I've read he supported publicizing any private monopolies which managed to form, too.

2017-09-16 04:52:45 UTC

Were you less pessimistic in the past?

2017-09-16 04:53:43 UTC

No, actually I'm quite new to Georgism. So this is actually an optimistic turn.

2017-09-16 04:54:45 UTC

Do you have much exposure to other kinds of Leftism, Marx or Kropotkin?

2017-09-16 04:57:42 UTC

Nnnope. Very limited. I have "Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State" but I've only touched it barely. I've been party to anarchist communes, and leading up to Georgism I saw myself as a "wannabe anarchist" - IE, I idolized that system but had no real hope of it functioning broadly and only limited hope of it functioning self-sufficiently for production. Also, the communities I was part of, though run by clever people, were full of idpol to the point of masochism.

2017-09-16 04:58:28 UTC

That's a shame.

2017-09-16 04:59:15 UTC

There is a lot of content to possibly go through. Are you new to Discord in general?

2017-09-16 04:59:31 UTC

No, but I don't register this name.

2017-09-16 05:00:24 UTC

I guess my advice would be to expose yourself to different politics, ask questions and join different Discord servers.

2017-09-16 05:00:38 UTC

Are there multiple leftypol servers?

2017-09-16 05:00:54 UTC

Why do you love leftypol so much?

2017-09-16 05:02:36 UTC

I don't. Leftypol sucks. It's just one of very few relatively large lefty communities where shitting on idpol and pop-sensitivity stuff is smiled upon. and the divisive identity problems in the mainstream (and even less mainstream) American 'left' are acknowledged and criticized.

2017-09-16 05:04:12 UTC

I'm not really out to read theory on the servers - I *do* read stuff that piques my interest on the board, but I'm more looking here for discussion where I can participate in some form of action not necessarily related to theory. Not antifa either, just some way to physically help out.

2017-09-16 05:05:41 UTC

Stay a while. I am not connected to political parties, but others here are. They could help you.

2017-09-16 05:06:06 UTC

Cool!

2017-09-16 05:08:46 UTC

@JonnyWhatsit So tell me, what is your ideology?

2017-09-16 05:10:14 UTC

@Deleted User Scroll up numb nuts.

2017-09-16 05:10:34 UTC

@Deleted User Let the man answer for himself.

2017-09-16 05:11:35 UTC

>Let the man repeat himself
Amazing.

2017-09-16 05:11:58 UTC

Georgism

2017-09-16 05:12:10 UTC

**No clue if I even spelt this right**

2017-09-16 05:12:15 UTC

This one has comprehension skills.

2017-09-16 05:13:23 UTC

@Anglican The fuck is that?

2017-09-16 05:14:09 UTC

I don't know

2017-09-16 05:14:18 UTC

Chopin said something like Liberal socdem reformism

2017-09-16 05:14:39 UTC

Sounds like something that even soc dem's would hate.

2017-09-16 05:15:27 UTC

Erm...

2017-09-16 05:15:33 UTC

None of that is inherently opposed

2017-09-16 05:15:54 UTC

Oh

2017-09-16 05:15:59 UTC

Geo-libertarianism

2017-09-16 05:16:01 UTC

I've heard of this

2017-09-16 05:16:15 UTC

it's the market side of the 'land should not be a thing to be bought and sold'

2017-09-16 05:16:23 UTC

Did y'all know Adam Smith stole his ideas from Sharia law?

2017-09-16 05:16:37 UTC

๐Ÿค”

2017-09-16 05:17:43 UTC

@Anglican What the fuck, how do you even promote a market in a state where land cannot be bought or sold?

2017-09-16 05:18:22 UTC

It is one of the first political ideologies he has learned much about. Give him a break.

2017-09-16 05:18:36 UTC

You just use it?

2017-09-16 05:18:44 UTC

I don't advocate for it neither do I know shit about it.

2017-09-16 05:18:57 UTC

I'm just skimming over the wikipedia article

2017-09-16 05:19:12 UTC

>Wikipedia
Stop that.

2017-09-16 05:19:15 UTC

I guess it's just a principle of occupation of land equals ownership

2017-09-16 05:19:22 UTC

Where else should I be looking?

2017-09-16 05:19:42 UTC

Anything but wikipedia.

2017-09-16 05:20:40 UTC

Wikipedia is fine for general overview.

2017-09-16 05:21:02 UTC

With the one exception of national syndicalism ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ”ซ

2017-09-16 05:21:55 UTC

Politics is like ice-cream. We all like different flavours but can all appreciate the cold sweetness against our lips.

2017-09-16 05:22:19 UTC

Fuck, that puts a really sexual ideal in my head

2017-09-16 05:22:42 UTC

like a guy furiously and heavily licking at some ice cream. Before looking at you with a smile, white ice cream all around his mouth

2017-09-16 05:23:00 UTC

Is the sexual?

2017-09-16 05:23:07 UTC

It's erotic

2017-09-16 05:23:13 UTC

how he's licking it

2017-09-16 05:23:21 UTC

Oh.

2017-09-16 05:23:36 UTC

Not all erotic activity is furious.

2017-09-16 05:23:45 UTC

I don't care

2017-09-16 05:23:58 UTC

But now I learned how you like it.

2017-09-16 05:24:10 UTC

.-.

2017-09-16 05:24:14 UTC

2017-09-16 05:24:15 UTC

2017-09-16 05:24:46 UTC

<:caring:312066184948350976>

2017-09-16 05:24:55 UTC

2 beers is not drunk.

2017-09-16 05:25:01 UTC

@Anglican I don't call it Geo-libertarianism - just Georgism. Also totes less capitalist than Socdems.

2017-09-16 05:25:25 UTC

That's just where I learnt of it.

2017-09-16 05:25:30 UTC

O

2017-09-16 05:25:34 UTC

The concept.

2017-09-16 05:25:41 UTC

It was a long time ago, on a /pol/ server.

2017-09-16 05:25:56 UTC

I was scrolling through adn I saw someone ask "Wtf does that mean?"

2017-09-16 05:26:27 UTC

and the geo-lib explained it

2017-09-16 05:26:33 UTC

still doesn't make much sense

2017-09-16 05:26:36 UTC
