On bench ive noticed people either have really strong shoulders (jamie lewis) or strong arms(James Strickland). Strong shoulders is more beginner friendly (I believe) but strong arms take more effort and will take you further. Strong both will give you godlike benching tho (larry wheels).

@Deleted User I do biceps curls straight into an overhead press. Is this healthy to do or not? Itโ€™s worked well and definitely built me up, but Iโ€™m not wondering if itโ€™s harming the support muscles and tendons.
