The Jews were the first to reject Christ and to persecute His church and have been at odds with Christians since the time of Christ's ministry. Science is actually at odds with Christianity! We know that the universe is not 6,000 years old. We know that it was not created in six days. We know that there was no global flood, and we also found no evidence of mass Hebrew enslavement in Egypt.
