Hebrews 11:1 KJV

2019-08-22 06:47:02 UTC

**Hebrews 11:1 - King James Version (KJV)**

```Dust
<1> Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ```
2019-08-22 07:04:47 UTC
@Deleted User The old testament should still be read for the purpose of context, and Jesus said he did not come to nullify the old texts
2019-08-22 07:06:33 UTC
Those laws donโ€™t apply
2019-08-22 07:06:59 UTC
@Deleted User do the 10 commandments not matter?
2019-08-22 07:07:11 UTC
Even though Jesus refers to them multiple times
2019-08-22 07:07:15 UTC
They are guidelines, but do not matter.
2019-08-22 07:07:35 UTC
One should keep to them, but accepting Christ as your lord and savior is all that matters
2019-08-22 07:07:48 UTC
That's not all that matters
2019-08-22 07:07:57 UTC
Faith without good works is dead the Bible says
2019-08-22 07:08:16 UTC
As god is an omnipotent being whether or not one accepts Christ he already knows the result
2019-08-22 07:08:39 UTC
So you believe in predestination?
2019-08-22 07:09:28 UTC
Anyways it is late for me I must rest
2019-08-22 12:38:57 UTC
Why do some anti Jewish Christians hate Jews if Jesus was a Jew?
2019-08-22 12:44:21 UTC
1 Thessalonians 2:14-16
2019-08-22 12:44:22 UTC
**1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 - King James Version (KJV)**
```Dust

<14> For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: <15> Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: <16> Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. ```

2019-08-22 12:45:58 UTC

The Jews were the first to reject Christ and to persecute His church and have been at odds with Christians since the time of Christ's ministry. An ethnic Jew who accepts Christ is no enemy of a Christian nor is a Jew who is an unbeliever any greater of an enemy inherently to a Christian than any other heathen but it is the Jews who have rejected Christ who have made themselves at odds with Christ's followers through out history.

2019-08-22 13:29:36 UTC

@Maksim to have faith is to believe even though there is no evidence

2019-08-22 13:29:45 UTC

its dumb

2019-08-22 13:43:14 UTC

@Oboe ever heard of commas

2019-08-22 13:44:05 UTC

2019-08-22 13:44:12 UTC

2019-08-22 13:44:14 UTC

Leviticus 19:33-34 KJV

2019-08-22 14:49:47 UTC

**Leviticus 19:33-34 - King James Version (KJV)**

```Dust
<33> And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. <34> But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. ```
2019-08-22 14:50:32 UTC
The original meaning is Sorjourn, which means to temporarily stay in order to have safe passage to a further destination.
2019-08-22 15:48:52 UTC
tl;dr
2019-08-22 16:59:13 UTC
Revelations 2:9 KJV
2019-08-23 14:11:49 UTC
@Riley faith =/= to not have reason... withotu evidence.
this atheist talking point needs to die because its beating a dead horse and its such sophistry. Its just so cheap
2019-08-23 15:09:23 UTC
@Bogatyr Bogumir LMAO sure as hell sounds like it
2019-08-23 15:10:06 UTC
There is no evidence for God. Belief in God is little more than a delusion
2019-08-23 15:10:36 UTC
might as well think the fucking tooth fairy is real
2019-08-23 15:11:55 UTC
@Bogatyr Bogumir Titus 3:10
2019-08-23 15:11:56 UTC
**Titus 3:10 - Good News Translation (GNT)**
```Dust

<10> Give at least two warnings to those who cause divisions, and then have nothing more to do with them. ```

*tit*us

<@&588707615643795456> Daily Question ๐Ÿ”–

- Is Christianity at odds with science or is science a Christian field?

2019-08-26 15:16:58 UTC

Science is Christian.

2019-08-26 15:17:04 UTC

Isaac Newton.

2019-08-26 15:17:11 UTC

Guy who made the big bang theory.

2019-08-26 15:17:15 UTC

end of ok thanks.

2019-08-26 15:20:23 UTC

The Big Bang is just a way of explaining how god created the universe to idiot atheists

2019-08-26 15:34:20 UTC

The science worshipping atheist is the pinnacle of Dunning Kruger

2019-08-26 15:42:07 UTC

Science isn't just 'knowledge of the physical world', it is also a method. In science, we observe a phenomenon, formulate a hypothesis that explains it, test the hypothesis, then conclude whether or not it accurately describes the phenomenon. If our hypothesis survives rigorous testing, we turn it into a theory (a scientific theory being defined as an explanation of the natural world that can make accurate predictions about the future). Christianity does not follow the scientific method, Christianity does not analyze data, then formulate a conclusion. Christianity starts with the conclusion (despite the lack of evidence supporting it), then works backwards and attempts to find things that validate it

2019-08-26 15:43:25 UTC

Christianity is unscientific. Sure, Christians can enjoy science just as much as anyone else and you can list great Christian scientists all day, but that does not mean Christianity itself is scientific. Science is actually at odds with Christianity! We know that the universe is not 6,000 years old. We know that it was not created in six days. We know that there was no global flood, and we also found no evidence of mass Hebrew enslavement in Egypt.

2019-08-26 15:47:32 UTC

@gone the big bang does not incorporate God

2019-08-26 15:57:55 UTC

wanna get crucified

2019-08-26 16:13:30 UTC

oh come on

2019-08-26 16:13:33 UTC

what kinda response is that?

2019-08-26 16:16:53 UTC

@gone give me a better one

2019-08-26 16:24:50 UTC

@Based Virginian Hours#9308

2019-08-26 16:24:56 UTC

lol

2019-08-26 19:07:26 UTC

Bruh

2019-08-26 19:09:14 UTC

Considering science and religion are completely different fields, why should christianity follow the scientific method?

2019-08-26 19:10:36 UTC

The 6 days thing is moreso God assigning roles to the universe.

2019-08-26 19:17:27 UTC

@Iahhel I was showing how Christianity is at odds with science

2019-08-26 19:17:56 UTC

lmao

2019-08-26 19:18:15 UTC

God assigned roles in the wrong order

2019-08-27 12:54:44 UTC

Science does not generate truth, but useful explainations.

2019-08-27 13:20:05 UTC

Yeah I don't see why theists would want to say religion and science are the same

2019-08-27 13:21:08 UTC

you must be small brain to consider that

2019-08-27 13:21:15 UTC

bruh wow thatโ€™s so atheist thinking

2019-08-27 14:03:01 UTC

@Deleted User uhhh what

2019-08-27 16:40:47 UTC

<@&588707615643795456> Daily Question ๐Ÿ”–

- What's your stance of predestination? Is it a logical consequence of an omnipotent God or is it a heresy?

2019-08-27 16:52:47 UTC

the free will paradox

2019-08-27 16:52:49 UTC

mmmm

2019-08-27 16:57:43 UTC

compatibilism <:Chad:591182354270257170>

2019-08-27 17:03:36 UTC

God be like "yea I know your gonna kill 100 kids, but im gonna make you anyways and then punish you for it"

2019-08-27 17:04:00 UTC

ecks de

@Maksim I'd say that it isn't in any way valid

2019-08-27 19:55:11 UTC

God gave us free will but knows all the choices we can make using that free will
Simple as

2019-08-27 20:13:36 UTC
2019-08-27 20:14:14 UTC

Its like getting pissed off at a computer for doing what it was programmed to do

2019-08-27 20:14:23 UTC

God literally knows what we are going to do

2019-08-27 20:14:27 UTC

yet he still makes us

2019-08-27 20:14:36 UTC

so if someone kills another person and does not repent

2019-08-27 20:14:40 UTC

he was destined to do that

2019-08-27 20:14:50 UTC

and it would be literally impossible for him to make another decision

2019-08-27 20:14:54 UTC

yet God made him anyways

2019-08-27 20:15:04 UTC

that is sadistic

2019-08-27 20:17:00 UTC

Eh

2019-08-27 20:18:03 UTC

Think of it like (I fucking hate this analogy) Dr Strange in the end(?) of Infinity War the whole "I can see 28373773 futures" ye? Basically God knows everything that *can* happen but humans decide which path to go down yknow

2019-08-27 20:19:18 UTC

It's less you're locked into one road but rather he just knows where all roads lead

2019-08-27 20:22:22 UTC

so why make people who are going to hell then?

2019-08-27 20:22:43 UTC

Unredeemed ย human beings are dominated by obstructions; Satan, as the prince of the mortal world, never lets go of what he considers his own unless he is overpowered by a stronger power, i.e. God. When God redeems a person, he redeems the entire person, including the will, which then is liberated to serve God. No one can achieve salvation or redemption through their own willpowerโ€”people do not choose between good or evil, because they are naturally dominated by evil, and salvation is simply the product of God unilaterally changing a person's heart and turning them to good ends. Were it not so, God would not be omnipotent and omniscient ย and would lack total sovereignty over creation.

2019-08-27 20:23:28 UTC

I too am schizophrenic @Shalopy

2019-08-27 20:23:49 UTC

jk

2019-08-27 20:24:26 UTC

Man is essentially dominated by evil and can only do evil apart from God. With God, Man can do Good.

2019-08-27 20:24:48 UTC

can they do good without god lol

2019-08-27 20:26:04 UTC

Bruh everyone *can* go to Hell what do you mean "so why make people who can go to Hell"

2019-08-27 20:26:44 UTC

oh

2019-08-27 20:26:47 UTC

who are going to hell

2019-08-27 20:26:48 UTC

is what i meant

2019-08-27 20:27:18 UTC

Again,, please explain because like

2019-08-27 20:27:32 UTC

Anyone can go to Hell if they choose to make actions that lead them there

2019-08-27 20:27:37 UTC

If God knows that I will go to hell after I die

2019-08-27 20:27:41 UTC

why would he make me in the first place

2019-08-27 20:27:55 UTC

God knows you can or can't go to Hell but you're not predestined for either
